"No!" she yelled at him, "You don't get to tell me to calm down after that! I want my weapons Ward. I want them now!"
She put herself in front of him and stood tall, her entire height, which was still nothing compared to his. Hands on her hips she attempted to stare him down.

"F*ck, you're sexy when you're angry." He wanted to throw her on the bed at that very moment but she'd turned the place upside down and the bed was hardly visible under all the sh*t she'd thrown about. Instead he pulled her to him and kissed her, satisfying his current desire for her and the ache that had taken over his chest as he watched her nearly die right in front of him.

She fought him at first, then her own feelings for him caught fire and caused her to kiss him back, but it was more an attack than a caress. She began fighting again however when her anger won out, and finally bit him.
"You could have died." she accused.

She bit his lip and not in the seductive way. "F*ck!" he said as he pushed her back slightly and curbed his natural instinct to slap her.
"So its alright for you to die but not me?! How long have you known about the f*cking loophole, Diana? Sh*t! What else haven't you told me?!"

"No it's not alright for you to die! We can't both die! God I hate this bond!" she bit out pulling at her hair.
If they both died there would be no one to make sure Alyx was safe. Yes Roselyn could watch the girl, and take care of her, but Diana didn't expect the woman to fight off assassins or any trouble that might come Alyx's way.

"I'm not going to f*cking kill you, Diana! What the f*ck is wrong with you that you could even ask that of me?" Christian had no memory of using Diana's vow of obedience to make her swear to do the exact same thing if it came down to it. It was love that made Christian demand it of her and it was love that forced Diana to ask Christian to end her today. Although Christian, this version of Christian, was falling for her all over again he wasn't the same man as he had been before. He cared for her but he couldn't fathom asking someone to kill you because you love them so fully.

"You hypocritical asshat! You asked me!" she turned on him, reminding him about things he had no memory of.
"You ordered me! I would have no choice, but to kill you if the situation were reversed!"
That was not the case anymore. Christian had ordered her not to kill him, and in a way offering him her life had been a way of following the new rules he had set out for her.

Her accusations were confusing and he looked at her, perplexed. "What the hell are you-" The other Christian, that's who she was talking about. Having his memory erased was like having different personalities, being two different people. And quite possibly what was even more infuriating what that the woman who had done it to him was the same one who repeatedly threw the confusion in his face.
"How the bloody hell am I supposed to know that?!" It was more of a statement than a question.

Diana glared at him, she had opened her mouth to reply but promptly snapped it shut. She couldn't win that part of the argument, they had traveled down that road so many times already. She had taken his memories, he had taken a contract out on her life, both were mistakes. Diana had wished times over that she had left Christian's memories in tact, but it was a moot point now.
"Where are my weapons?" she said returning to her original quest.

"You can't kill me with them, you know," Christian said someone bitterly as he turned and left the bedroom. He walked down the hallway and into the room his mother had used while she had stayed with them. In the back of the closet, behind an enchantment Christian had put up, was her duffle of weapons which also held her wand and the picture of their wedding night. Christian had forgotten about that last item and he flung the bag at her.

"I can dream!" she yelled after him heatedly. She didn't mean it of course. She wasn't even sure why she was so angry.
It wasn't anger driving her, it was fear.
She caught the weapons he through out at her and quickly spun around and dug through it.
Her wand came to her hand quickly and she relaxed marginally. She set it on the bed and kept digging until she found a pouch which contained her knives, she had felt naked without them. Those too she set on the bed.
Finally her hand came across the photo. She was confused at first until she withdrew the item and saw the loving couple. The image washed over her like ice water.
"You fixed it..."

He watched her carefully as she rummaged through the duffle bag of weaponry. She couldn't kill him but if she were so inclined she could definitely hurt him. Between the recovered memory of the cargo ship and watching her with Silas, Christian was well aware of the damage she could do to him with anything in that bag.
Especially that photograph. It took less than a second to realize what she was talking about. Emotions were stirring that he didn't want to discuss. More so than that, he didn't know how to discuss them. "I need a drink," he said as he left the room.

Leaving Diana alone wasn't the right answer. Without Christian there to fight with, or to be kissed senseless by, Diana was left to do her own thinking.
She cleaned up the mess she had made and spent the rest of the hour looking at the photograph of her and her husband. It was painful. She finally came to the conclusion that while she did love her husband, she couldn't be with him. She was careless when she was in love. She needed to separate her emotions from her actions and keep her head in the game, particularly with this new looming threat.
Diana moved toward the shower to wash the filth of Silas' blood off of her and clear her mind.
She had hidden the duffel bag once more with her own charm, and tossed the picture of the happy couple in the trash.

Christian poured himself a liberal glass of scotch and was sitting in the bedroom when Diana got out of the shower. They still had a board member to track down and kill and this life bond nonsense to deal with. Christian would need to get his house in order again at some point. There were many things to do but he only had one thing on his mind.

She was naked when she reentered the room, she had her hair wrapped up in a towel, but the rest of her was bare as could be. She hadn't expected Christian to be there, but then that didn't phase her either. She merely lifted her chin at him and moved toward the dresser to get changed.

Christian's eyebrows rose with a happy grin as Diana came into the room wearing nothing but a...well it wasn't a smile. He sipped his drink slowly as he watched her move and stared at her ass as she pulled the drawer of the dresser open.
"You know that's a waste of time, don't you?"

Her only response was to pull a pair of pants out of the drawer and slam it shut. She pulled another drawer open and retrieved a shirt before slamming that one shut.
Christian's suggestion that she wouldn't need clothing only further infuriated her. He honestly thought that she would sleep with him after everything. He was delusional. At least she told herself he was delusional, perhaps she was the delusional one thinking she could keep away from him.

"Watching you fight," he said thoughtfully, filling the silence as Diana had decided not to speak to him. "You were...stunning."
She was more than stunning but Christian could better explain it without words. He sat watching her, drinking his scotch.

Diana didn't hesitate to put her clothes on, but after that task was done she had to hold herself to occupy her hands as Christian complimented her. She had finally recognized her anger for what it was: concern. Now there was a driving need to remind herself that he was indeed alive, but she had already made her mind up not to be distracted by him any longer.
"You sound surprised." she said with just a bit of ego.

He chuckled at her arrogance, it appeared to be well deserved. "Well I had heard stories," he said in an amused sort of manner. "And you know, Derek and I helped you quite a bit back at the house," he teased. But, Christian was a bit surprised. He had seen her tricks when they were running away from the assassin in the restaurant and he had regained his memory of her fighting in lingerie - that memory he had thought back to several times since. But seeing her take down Silas with nothing but a broken wand and her bare hands was beyond impressive. It was seductive in a sick sort of way.
He took another drink before setting his glass down and closing the distance between them. His hands went instinctively to her backside as he looked lustfully at her.
