Dorian HumbertSimon stepped over Lex’s unconscious bloody body, the knife he held slick with her blood. The suit he wore would have been pristine were it not for the crimson splatter marks against it. The face he wore was one most beloved in the safehouse. His image was one of pure terror for the girl cowering in the corner. He turned toward her now, eyes malicious with intent, he smiled a chilling smile. “Hello Darling.”

Christine could not remember a time in which she was more terrified than this very moment. She had escaped pirates, powerful Sheiks, Dark Wizards, storms at sea, and a dozen other terror filled events no girl of her age should have had to endure, but staring at the man she loathed wearing the face of the man she loved as he cut Lex to pieces and turned his attention on her was truly worse than any of her nightmares.
When he had arrived Lex and Christine had run to meet him. The danger was over. They were happy. Christine, obvlivious to Lex's presence, rushed to kiss him, and knew immediately it wasn't her Dorian.
Everything happened so quickly after that. Lex fought admirably, but the killer was able to overtake her. Christine tried to help, but was crucioed, her wand was also taken and broken. She felt truly defenseless though she still fought. Lex sacrificed herself so Christine could get away, but Christine refused to leave her. Now Lex was dead and Christine was taken.

Lex's finger twitched, it was the only sign she wasn't dead, though she may have wished it to be so. She ached everywhere.
It had been a full moon the night previous and since Lex wouldn't be working that evening she assumed the wolves wouldn't be around to help. Her assumption had proved accurate as she laid bleeding.
She wouldn't die. She absolutely refused to die. She held on.
The safe house was a mess, everything turned over and destroyed. The door was open, and Lex served as the centerpiece, once again the serial killer had set the scene. There were words written in blood over where Lex laid.
I'll look after our girl now. - M

Dorian had rushed to the Auror office, eager to catch this madman and release Christine from her prison. The office was buzzing, but not with excitement. As Dorian pushed past the throngs of Ministry personnel he heard whispers.
"They suspect it was the Imperius Curse."
"He was tampering with the portraits."
"Took his own life afterwards."
One of the senior Aurors stopped him and explained. One of the trainees had been cursed and sent out false messages over the department's portrait communication system. Dorian's heart fell instantly, his adrenalin pumping. He didn't wait to hear anymore. He moved as fast as humanly possible but by the time he arrived he would be too late.
He appeared on the street between 85 and 89 Hollyharp Drive. The Unplottability Charm stood, concealing the safe house from the view of the neighborhood but the rest of the protection charms were down. The door was open and Dorian could see that a body was splayed out on the floor. He raced inside calling for Christine, then dropped to his knees beside Lex's unmoving body. There was blood everywhere. Frantically he checked for a pulse. It was weak.
"Hang on," he demanded. He uttered an incantation in an attempt to stop any further bleeding as his eyes flew wildly around the room searching for any sign of Christine. His body went cold, eyes transfixed on the bloody message scrawled across the wallpaper. M.
"No!" He knew it was pointless but he searched the house anyway. He ran from room to room, upturning everything although it had already been torn apart by M. He screamed her name but there was no answer.
Lex's finger twitched again, she couldn't wait. Dorian scooped her body from the floor and carried her outside to the street. "Hang on," he ordered her as they disapparated for St. Mungo's.
