"You don't know him, Lex. You don't know what kind of a threat he might be." He was calm now, but still unsure of his twin's aim. Alek was resolute in his hatred for Dorian, but he wanted to trust his Lex. She just wasn't making it easy.
"I don't expect you to keep anymore secrets from me, sister. I am head of the family, still." He looked at her finally and added, "even if you are an adult."

"I'm getting to know him, and I swear to you he's not a threat."
She softened when he did, "You're only 28 minutes older than me Alek." she teased, since he acted as if she were a child.
Then she spoke seriously, "I didn't like keeping it from you."

"28 minutes more experience and wisdom, sister dear." His tone was humorless, but he smiled faintly.
"Now what is this about a serial killer?"

She rolled her eyes. When he asked about the serial killer Lex sighed.
"We don't know much about him. He's been taking girls. He's killed three so far." she said solemnly.
It wasn't just Dorian that kept her, she really enjoyed being an auror, she felt as though she were making a difference. She was also invested in Christine's life as well.

"I don't like the sound of that." Alek wished Lex would just stay with the pack. He could keep her safe, instead of trusting her life with Dorian and a serial killer who preyed on women.
Alek turned and walked to the fireplace. He pulled his wand and pointed at the shattered pieces of the vase he'd broken in anger before Lex returned home. "Reparo," he muttered quietly before the porcelain jumped back together. He set the vase on the mantle, then turned again to Lex. "Be careful," he warned. "There are things worse than living with wolves, you know."

Lex raised a brow at the pieces of the vase that she just now noticed were shattered. She knew that Alek had reacted poorly to her secret, but was happy that they seemed to be moving past it.
Lex could handle herself, though she didn't relay this information to her brother who would likely scoff. Still if he didn't trust her to take care of herself he wouldn't let her go.
On the other hand if Alek sensed that Lex was in trouble the killer would have the entire Eiriksen pack and even he couldn't outrun the wolves. It had occurred to Lex several times that the pack could be of some use, but it was her brother's pack, and she knew that they disliked anything to do with the Ministry.
"Oh yes I know." she mumbled something about overprotective twin brothers.
