Sliding one careful hand from the folds of her cloaks, Jems tugged the open door of Randolph Trades toward her and stepped inside. Her heels clicked as she walked in, and each sound echoed around her in the quiet. Eyes flicking, scanning around her quickly. She was looking for something quite specific. Something that wouldn't look like it belonged in such a shop, but the specific magical qualities of which definitely would land it in a shop such as this.
Peering around one of the racks, Jems laid her eyes on what she wanted. A silver chain that held an creamy white opal pendant, familiar latin engraved in the stone. More appealing, however, was the small folded piece of parchment next to it that explained it's properties. A grin unfolded across her usually apathetic face as she examined the pendant, turning it over in her hands.
Jems had never quite mastered the trick of voice-less incantations, and she would require the skill to be more than second nature for the task ahead. The subtle glimmer of the pendant matched that in her eyes, as she triumphantly realized that this minor setback was merely that.
