This boy definitely knew how to work the charm with girls and Arabelle knew that she was not the only one he was trying to charm with that smile of his nor would she be the last. That smile was hard to resist though. She knew that he was aware of how he was affecting her and he was doing it on purpose. Looking up at him she gave a small smile as he spoke to her. Does she trust him? That’s a good question. She really had no reason to not trust him and she was going to trust him until he gave her good reason not to.
“Yes but I probably shouldn’t with that smile.” She grinned widely at him as she spoke. She had a feeling she was really going to regret trusting him so easily.

His smile widened, showing off his even, white teeth. "Good answer," he replied. "No, you probably shouldn't trust me... but I give you my word.... nothing inappropriate is going to happen."
But there was just the slightest lift to his eyebrows and his voice that indicated an unspoken "yet." No, she wasn't the first girl he'd brought back here, but in general, he respected the library too much to do anything really inappropriate here. And, surprisingly, Wyatt found that he also respected her too much to even make a try for it.
"OK," he said in her ear. "I want you to stand right behind me. Just lean against my back and put your arms around my waist. Can you do that?"

Arabelle feels a bit of relief washing over her once he promised nothing inappropriate was going to happen between them. She knew that nothing would happen of course but it was nice to hear that they were on the same page. Even though he was probably just saying that to make sure that she continues to follow him. At this point she wasn’t going anywhere her curiosity about the book and Wyatt were getting the best of her.
As he spoke to her she looked down towards his waist and her eyes traveled back up to meet his. She had to wrap her arms around his waist and lean against him? That is the closest she has been with boy. Ever. She nodded “Yes…” She cleared his throat “I think I can manage.”
She straightened up and walked behind him slowly. That minor detail was not going to keep her from getting to see that book and she wouldn't give him the pleasure of having her back out now. She leaned against his back and wrapped her arms around his waist holding him a bit tighter than she should. She leaned her chin on his shoulder and whispered softly in his ear “Is this close enough?”

Surprisingly, Wyatt felt a little tingle run through him when she whispered in his ear. That was something that had never happened before, and he wasn't sure what to make of it.
But it didn't affect his confidence or dim his smile. If anything, he only felt more confident and smiled wider. He nodded and glanced back at her, his eyes locking onto hers. "That's perfect," he replied. "Now just follow right behind me as I walk into the restricted section."
He moved slowly forward, his eyes focused on the chain that currently blocked off the restricted section. When they got close enough, the chain disappeared, allowing them both to pass to the aisle.
"That wasn't so hard, was it?" he teased, looking back at her. They were still locked together, and he made no move to change the situation. "Now... you'll have to hold onto me the whole time you're in here... although you don't need to stand quite so close now."

This was the second time since she met him that he had made her tongue tied. She couldn't seem to find any words as her eyes locked with his. So, she just nodded and managed to get out a soft word of agreement. “Okay…” As she followed behind him slowly he could feel her grip tightening around him as the chains got closer and closer.
Once they managed to make it into the restricted section and the chains disappeared he could feel her body relax but her grip did not change. “No, It wasn't that hard.” Her cheeks started to turn red as he teased her. Not let go of him? He did not mention that before they went through but he probably didn't mention it on purpose.
Arabelle looked at him with a frown and realized she was still holding him rather tight. She let go a bit and eased back from him a few steps but kept her arms on him like he said “Forgot to mention that part huh?” She smiled at him and looked around he could see the excitement in her eyes. It was enough to make her forget the fact that she had to hold onto him.
She looked up him “Well you’re in charge so lead the way…”

He grinned back at her, acting oblivious of her frown. Actually, there was a bit of a strategy to bringing girls back to the restricted section without getting caught. It had taken a bit of trial and error, and quite a lot of excuses before he'd figured it out, but by now, he had it pretty much worked out.
"Basically, we have to trick the magical security system into thinking that only one person is in here and not two," he explained in a low voice. "That's why we needed to be so close together coming in. Now that you're in here, you're relatively safe, but you should still hold on to me, just in case. And the librarian will come by in 15 minutes to check on me, so we'll have to leave before then. So you won't get a very long look at your book, but hopefully it will be enough."
He glanced at the shelves, almost boredly. "Now, then... Moste Potente Potions, right? It's over this way..."
He gave her hand a light squeeze as he began to walk toward the potions section of the aisle.

Arabelle listened to his explanation but her eyes were too busy going from book to book all over the shelves. She could spend hours in here looking at every page of every book. She looked up at him and pouted when he said 15 minutes. That would be barely enough time to look at the book she wanted let alone discover a book she had never heard of. She loved finding a book that she had never heard of before. It was rare that it happened which is why she loved it so much.
Her eyes looked down at their hands laced together and she followed him towards the potions section. As she walked she tried to read the spine of some of the books. Her eyes lit up as they walked through the aisle. “Fifteenth-Century Fiends!” She let out with a squeak but continued to walk with him.
“Next time we come in here I want to look at that book…” She looked up at him with a grin and shrugged a bit. “If you will bring me back in here of course…” She wouldn't mind spending more time with him and she really wouldn't mind getting her hands on more books in the restricted section. If she had to hold his hand to do so then she could do that.

Wyatt raised his eyebrows as he looked back at her, smirking. Oh, he had already known there would be a next time before they even got here. But it still amused him to see that she was already anxious to come here again with him, to the point where she wasn't even asking... she had already assumed that it would happen.
"Next time?" he teased. "Well, someone's already jumping ahead, aren't you?"
But his smile promised that there most likely would be a next time, and a time after that... But he had to think about what was in this for him. Once was one thing... but after that, he had to get something out of the deal other than the pink-cheeked smile on her face.
"We'll talk about that later," he replied as he stopped in front of the books she had most wanted to see. He pulled it off of the shelf and balanced it on one hand--the one that was still joined with hers--as he opened the book with the other.
He opened to the table of contents to start with, allowing her to look over some of the potions found within the heavy tome.
"You can't touch it," he cautioned her. "So tell me what interests you and I'll turn to it."

Arabelle rolled her eyes when he said she was jumping ahead. It was like he did not want to bring her back in here. Yes, she did want to come in here again but just for the books and maybe a little more time with him wouldn't be so bad. Was she jumping ahead? He was probably just being nice to the weird girl that bumped into him. He really didn't seem like the type of person that would do something nice because it made him feel warm and fuzzy so maybe he doesn't want to bring her back in here. She already had a feeling he would want something for bringing her into the restricted section this time and she knew he would each time after that.
She came to a stop next to him and she was practically jumping out of her skin next to him. Her eyes lit up as he opened to the table of contents and her eyes scanned the page peering over his arm. She lifted his arm and moved under neither standing with her back against his chest so she could see the pages better without ever letting go of his hand. She looked up at with a grin “I won’t touch I promise.” She whispered looking up at him.
Her eyes fall back to the page and her finger hovered over Lunaserauem and she looked back at him “My obsession remember?” She grinned widely at him.

Actually, she was wrong. He definitely wanted to bring her back in here. The way she was so excited about a book intrigued him more than all the other girls who just liked the idea of doing something that was "restricted." These were the same girls who walked into the Forbidden Forest, not to look around, but because it was Forbidden.
But Arabelle, she was doing it not because it was something that she wasn't supposed to do, but in spite of it. Her thirst for knowledge outweighed her hesitation about breaking the rules. To Wyatt, that was very appealing.
"Right, the werewolves," he said with a grin as she indicated the Lunaserauem entry. He quickly flipped to page 497, where the formula for Lunaserauem was.
"Did you want to write it down?" he whispered.

That grin on his face was going to be her undoing and she knew it. Arabelle watched his face for a few seconds longer before she turned to look back at the book. She took a deep breath and watched his fingers flip through the pages until they came to a stop on page 497. Her bright eyes lit up with excitement and at that moment she was glad he could not see her face.
She began to mumble the words in a soft whisper as she read over the potion. It was killing her to not grab the book right from his hands. She wanted it in her hands so she could feel the pages under her fingers. Last thing she wanted was to get either of them in trouble so she resisted the urge. She was so focused on the pages in front of her that she barely even heard the words that left his lips.
She frowned as she realized she felt everything on the table with her bag. “Now, why didn’t I think of that? I guess I am not very good at breaking the rules now am I?”

Having expected this, Wyatt had come prepared. After all, he wasn't all that different from her in some ways. He liked knowledge and learning just as much as she did. And if he had gone to as much trouble to see a potion recipe, he would want to write it down. So with one deft movement, he reached into his front robe pocket and pulled out a crumpled piece of parchment and a award-winning quill and handed them to her.
"Write quickly," he advised with a knowing smirk.

Arabelle watched him reach into his robe and pull out some parchment and a quill. Of course he has his quill she thought to herself. “Always prepared?” She grinned and took the crumbled parchment and quill from his hand. She turned to face him so she could use him to write on. She stretched the parchment out on his chest trying to get out crinkles. She was standing rather close to him now that they were facing each other but she was not doing it to flirt or be seductive. She just wasn't that type of girl to even realize that some people could take it that way.
She looked up at him with a frown like she had remembered something that was upsetting. She looked up at him with wide eyes as she spoke. “We don’t have any ink….”

Whether she intended it to be or not, the closeness between them was seductive, and the wide-eyed innocent expression on her face was positively adorable. Wyatt didn't think of himself as a romantic sort of guy and even he was sort of swept into the moment. That was his excuse, anyway, for what happened next.
With a flash of his most seductive smile, he leaned in even closer and whispered, "It's a self-inking quill." Though the words were completely innocent, they didn't seem that way, not with his face so close to hers, his voice so low, and the look in his eyes.
And the fact that he followed them up by pressing his lips to hers...

Arabelle’s eyes went wide when she felt his lips on hers. A few seconds into their kiss she closed her eyes and he felt her sink into him. She didn’t even notice she dropped the quill to the floor and her hands were now clutching his arms. This is just what she told herself would not happen when he brought her back here but there she was standing against him with her lips pressed against his. This was not the way she had pictured her first kiss would happen. She did not picture sneaking into the restricted section and having a piece of crumbled parchment stuck between them but she had to admit it was better than what she had pictured.
There had been a million thoughts running through her head only moments ago but for the life of her she could not think about anything but the feel of his lips on hers. She was getting too lost in this boy and she was going to end up hurt. Although getting lost in him at the moment wasn't so bad. She slowly pulled back and looked up at him with wide eyes. She gave him a small smile and her cheeks turned a deep red as their eyes locked.
“W-What was that for?” She could not even remember what they had been doing only a few moments ago and for once books were the last thing on her mind.

He chuckled, a low, throaty laugh that seemed even more seductive because they were still standing so close together. He couldn't honestly say why he had decided to kiss her right then. He had a dozen reasons, all lined up in his mind, but none of them felt like the truth.
So he simply smiled and said, "You looked cute."
Slowly, still balancing the book between them, he knelt down on the floor and picked up the quill from the floor. "You'd better write fast. Our fifteen minutes is half over."

Her mind was still focused on their kiss so much that she did not notice him bending down to pick up the quill she dropped a few moments ago.
“Write what?” She whispered once she found her voice again. Once she caught sight of the book in his hand and she remembered that was why they came in there not to spend time snogging. “Oh, right the spell….” Her thoughts were still too scattered to even focus on what she wanted to write down. Her eyes traveled down to the quill in his hand and pulled it from his grip slowly.
She grabbed the crumbled parchment that was stuck between them and stretched it out on his chest. She started to write it down as quickly as she could. Once she was finished she rolled up the piece of parchment and placed it in her pocket.
She glanced up at him nervously through her lashes. “Finished with a few minutes to spare….”

Wyatt watched her as she frantically wrote the formula down. No, to be exact, he watched her face as she did it. She was flustered, and he thought the pink in her cheeks was quite becoming. He also liked the little crinkle on her forehead a she struggled to concentrate on what she was writing. He couldn't help but wonder if she knew just how cute she was. The average Slytherin girl was never that cute.
"Impressive," he teased, his eyes sparkling with laughter. "We should get out of here, before the librarian finds you in here without permission."
He closed the book with a heavy thump and, in one deft maneuver, slid it back onto the shelf with one hand. He still held onto her with his other hand and, turning to her with a grin, he led her back out of the restricted section and back to the table where he'd found her.

Once Arabelle’s eyes met his she noticed that he was watching her while she was writing. She frowned thinking about the fact that he was watching her when she while she was writing. She really did not find herself cute at all and to top it off she had been chewing on her bottom lip while writing. She was dragged out of her thoughts when she heard the heavy thump of the book.
“Oh, right we have to go.” Her tone was sullen but she did her best to hide the disappointment on her face as she followed him out of the restricted section.
She had a feeling once they were out of the library he will probably take off running. She did not want that to happen much to her surprise. She held his hand a little tighter than she had meant to as her thoughts began to race. She really did not have a reason to keep him around her. Once they were back at the table she glanced up at him with a pout on her face. “So...That was fun..."

Truth be told, Wyatt was a little disappointed that it was over and that they were back in the "normal" part of the library. Like any other Slytherin, he got quite the thrill out of doing something that was "forbidden," and bringing a girl into the Restricted Section was always a thrilling experience for him. But he was surprised to realize that what he really liked this time was watching her reactions. She wasn't thrilled so much by the idea of doing something against the rules, it was purely for the knowledge she could attain there. And maybe there was also something to do with how close they had been when they were in the Restricted Section. Maybe there was something in that for him, as well, but he would never admit it.
"It was," he simply replied, his smile positively gleaming. "I expect to see a perfect version of that potion next time we meet..." he teased. "And I'll be on the lookout for werewolves you can try it on."
