Apollo loved working at the bar. He never planned on it but he was so happy to have the opportunity. He loved the people he served, the people he worked with, and even his boss. He was lucky to say he actually enjoyed going to work every day.
Today was no different. He arrived right on time and clapped Mr. Harrison on the back. Mr. Harrison was an elderly man who sat at the bar every night. He always had the best stories. He gave his cheesy grin to his coworker, Nathalia, as he put his apron on. The apron was the only thing he didn't like about his job.
"Hey baby!" He greeted with an elbow nudge before pouring Mr. Harrison another drink. "How's it going?"

Nathalia was working a double shift today because someone before her closing shift had called in ill, but she didn't mind. This seedy little bar, known for bad karaoke and strong alcohol, was fast becoming home for her, which was a feeling that her gypsy soul didn't have often.
So far, she was the only one on shift, but by the time the last shift came around, Apollo joined her, coming through the doors with an energy and exuberance that she loved about him. The regulars liked him, too, and if she wasn't mistaken, he actually just got a smile out of Mr. Harrison.
When he was behind the bar, she nudged him back, and smile lighting up her face. "Look at you, stealing my customers. And isn't it a sight for sore eyes." It was just a teasing comment while she grabbed a rag to clean one of the glasses while he said hello to Harrison.
