The styling and bustling of the cozy geas was. But overwhelming for the hot and busy September afternoon. Cassandra really should have expected that though. With all the couples separated over the summer, it made sense for them to come to the most affordable romantic place in all of Hogsmeade. Which is precisely why she was there - in search of an inspiration that floated loftily as the desperation that seemed to obviously surround each person.[/i] an angry girl loudly screeched as she stood up. Her young male companion turned bright red as all eyes in the small shop turned to the two of them. "I gave you two months of my life and this is how it ends?" To finish off her little tantrum, the girl stomped her foot. Cassandra held back a fit of laughter as she turned to a blank page in her poetry notebook. The couple couldn't have been more than thirteen years old. A quick glance around the place showed her that she wasn't the only one who noticed how absurd the situation was. Some students were chuckling outright while others tried to avert their eyes and smother their snickers with their hands. Though a few looked upon the pair with pity."It just wouldn't work," the boy finally responded in a monotonous tone. Without another word, the girl left.
"That's it,"
Poor girl,[/i] Cassie sympathized, it must be hard to hear those words when you're "in love". Dipping a purple quill in a jar of murky ink, she began to write. She filled herself with what she thought the newly dumped girl was feeling, what she was thinking. The sting of the first heartbreak.
You smashed the stone where it was set,
And just like that you managed to forget.
I made a promise when I said, "I do",
And I swore to God I would marry you.
You vowed to stay in spite of each quirk,
But then you claimed that we "just wouldn't work".
Once it was said then we were done,
And I think we both know who clearly won.
If you asked me what even happened,
I wouldn't know where to begin.
Yet if you wanted to try once more,
I would do it all over again.
Cassie blew on the page to help the ink dry, occasionally glancing around at the other couples destined to break up - more or less dramatically, but still with an end just the same.[/blockquote]
