There are many things that make weekends so amazing. Yet, the absolute best thing had to be the trips to Hogsmeade. Every time Cassie went, she woke up earlier than anyone else in her House. She loved being in Hogsmeade without any of the hordes of other students pushing around and against her. Yes, she loved people-watchingtoo. But some days, the peace and quiet was just as nice. And so, promptly at 7:30 A.M. each Saturday morning, Cassandra woke up and pulled on her favorite white t-shirt, jeans, and combat boots before rushing down to breakfast. By eight in the morning, she was leaving the Great Hall and headed to the small village for a day full of relaxation and window-shopping.
"Mmm,". Cassandra mumbled to herself as she entered the baked goods store. She fluttered her eyelids closed and inhaled deeply through her nose as the scent of melted chocolate and pure sugar eclipsed the rest if her senses. This place really is heaven on earth, she decided. Opening her deep brown eyes, she walked over to a case that displayed a fair variety of the tasty treats and scanned them with a deep ache in her sweet tooth. She dug around in her pants pocket for the handful of loose galleons she mad sure to grab before she left Hogwarts.
After being a frequent costumer at Baked Heaven for the past two years, Cassie knew how hard it was to go there and resist buying the entire stock. Saying she had a bit of weakness when it came to sugar of any sort would be a drastic understatement. As pathetic as she knew it was, Cassie simply couldn't survive without the store. And especially not without the two tastiest sweets in the entire world - peppermint fudge and crushed candy cane cookies. Her struggle not to buy a whole batch of each was never-ending.
Clink, clank, clang, clink, clank. So distracted by the thought of the delicious goodies soon to be hers, Cassandra accidentally flung her hands out of her pockets too fast and her money went flying to the floor. Quickly, she fell to her knees and tried to scoop up all of the wildly rolling coins.
