Words could not describe how happy Daphne was that school was over with. School was a nightmare for her. She was far too nice and that trait of being a complete pushover seemed to disappear when the incident occurred with Brenda. It took everything Daphne had not to severely hex the girl. She remembered all the anger that took over, all of the confusion. Her best friend, Heather, was in the mix as well. She wasn't exactly angry with Heather, but she was so confused. Once she found out her best friend's secret, she didn't know what to think. The two girls told each other everything and Daphne didn't know what to think of that secret.
In order for her to attempt to process things, Daphne thought she needed some time on her own. She didn't mind that her best friend was a lesbian. After all, she had known her since they were little. There was no way that she could ever hate her. Now, her best friend was off playing Quidditch professionally. They were still on good terms, or at least Daphne thought so. She still didn't know Heather's other secret, but that was another story. It took a day or so during camp for Daphne to wrap her head around the fact that Heather kept a secret from her for so long, but eventually she was just fine. Of course, Heather didn't really tell her anything else but right after camp she had to go to Quidditch camp.
Since Daphne did not have to go back to her horrible parents' house in Southern England, she wasn't exactly sure what to do with her freedom. She thought that becoming a healer was the job for her and she was looking into things that she could do to even gain an intern position. However, at this very moment she was not worried about her job. She just finished getting her apartment organized the way she wanted and now it was time to go visit the world. Muggle London was somewhere she felt comfortable.
With her side bag across her, Daphne set out to the streets of London. She wasn't sure if shopping was in order or not, but she was just going to go wherever her feet took her. Walking never seemed to bother her. Without thinking, she ended up reaching the river. Walking up to the river, she stopped looking out at the London Bridge. Things like that were amazing. The engineering to create a bridge like that was incredible.
She took a moment to take in the almost peaceful moment. There was a sound of a barge in the distance coming into the harbor, but she enjoyed watching the ships. No matter how large the ships seemed it appeared that they moved gracefully across the water. Her mind drifted off, as she became lost in thought.
