It had been a while since Collin and Niela's interaction at school. Since then, she had tried to talk to him about it several times, but something always stopped her. Either he was with friends, or the hall was croweded, or she lost her courage. The closest she had come was outside the Great Hall at school. She had been face to face with him, ready to talk to him about it, but as soon as she had opened her mouth to say something, her courage failed her and she had run off to the grounds and hid.
It was stupid that she, a Gryffindor, couldn't find the courage just to talk to some guy. She had watched many other girls do it, it seemed simple enough. She just couldn't.
But now, school was out and they were both at camp, her as a student and him as a councilor. There weren't as many kids around, and she felt a bit braver now. She knew this would be her last chance to talk to him about it, as he was now out of school. And, if it did turn out bad, she wouldn't have to worry about seeing him again.
She had sent an owl to him with a simple note, asking for him to meet her here at sunset. So, here she was, waiting. Camp wasn't as strict on dress code, so she was in a pair of jeans, soft leather boots and a simple, green v-neck shirt. The green of the shirt actually made her green eyes stand out even more and her red hair, which was pulled back in a pony-tail except a few strands around her face, contrasted with it perfectly.
She sat on a large root that was out of the ground, looking up at the trees. On her way there, she had nearly backed out twice, and sitting there, waiting, she had already debated with herself several times on if she should leave or if he was even going to come.

Collin had just unpacked his things when the owl came flying in through the front door and landed on the foot of his bunk. "What do you want?" he asked the bird, who only hooted and stuck out his leg. Collin took the letter and shooed the bird away, who did so after pecking his finger harshly. Collin shook his hand and swore. Birds, especially owls, never liked him much.
He threw on a sweeter, wind had started to pick up, and made his way to where Niela wanted to meet up. He wasn't particularly fond of meetings at sunset, but he was even less fond of the boys whom he had been put in charge of, so down to the woods he went, until he saw a familiar red head sitting on a tree root.
"Miss me?" he asked with a smirk before joining her on the tree.

Niela was so lost in her thoughts that when he spoke, she was actually a bit startled and turned around quickly. When she saw it was him, she started to calm down again, catching her breath. When he sat down next to her, she nearly backed out again right there.
"Missed you? I was surprised to see you even here. Doesn't seem your thing. I'm equally surprised that you didn't apparate out as soon as you found out who you were in a cabin with."
She paused. That might have been a little mean, and not at all what she was wanting to say.
"I'm sorry... That was sort of mean and not at all why I wanted to talk to you."
She sighed and looked around the area they were in. It was sunset, yes, but with this many trees around, it hardly looked it. Only in a few spots did the sunlight shine through the branches. She knew she needed to ask him and was just stalling at this point. She always could get a bit too defensive. But maybe she was wrong about him.
"I.."
She looked up at him and swallowed hard. Merlin, how could he make her so nervous. She took a deep breath, determined to say it.
"I want to know why what happened at the lake happened? I mean... Why did you kiss me? Was it just to mess with me or..."
She left the question hanging and looked away, at the ground, quickly. She was afraid of what the answer was, either way, really. If he was just messing with her, then she had got her hopes up for nothing. If he did care, she wouldn't know how to handle it. So she just held her breath, waiting.

Girls. They always read into everything like you wanted to whisk them off into the sunset on back a hippogryff or something equally corny. And if you told them the turth, that he was faffing around and felt like kissing her, so he did, then they'd get mad.
"Those 2nd year brats? I can handle them just fine," he shrugged, though he had a feeling he'd eat his words soon enough.
"I told you, didn't I?" He said once she finally spit her question out. But then he realized. H=If he was harsh about this, it wasn't likely he'd get to make out with her again. "I thought you were attractive, and I just couldn't help myself," he shurgged. It was kind of the truth, it just sounded mushier than what it actually was.

"Oh. Alright." She knew that wasn't all of it, but she wasn't going to push the issue, knowing that would probably just get him mad at her. Instead, she decided to try to actually talk to him, which was something the two had never really tried.
"So, what are your plans now that you are out of school?"
She turned on her seat to face him and waited for his response. Her mind went over all of the things that the two of them had done to each other in the past and part of her wondered why. Why had they always been at each other's necks? Was it because they were from opposing houses? Or was it something else? Her eyes wandered down to her hands and she took a deep breath, trying to drive those thoughts away.

Collin faced her and shrugged. He couldn't exactly tell her that he was planning to be a Death Eater, now could he? But girls liked it apparently when you were "honest" with them and told them things. That's how they get interested in guys, right? And then once the girl is more interested, she'd be willing to do more than just "talk", or at least, that's what Collin figured. As much as he pretended he knew what he was doing, Girls were still a foreign nature to him.
"Going to work at my Dad's shop," Collin said. "My sister won't be able to because she's in school still and my brother is useless, so it's better if I'm there to run the show."

Niela thought she heard something moving around near them and looked around. After no sign of anything, she relaxed. She was so used to the forest around hogwarts that she had begun getting a bit paranoid about all forests. Her attention quickly went back to Collin.
"I've ben hearing about some bad things happening around england lately. People disappearing or worse. You don't see much of that in Ireland. What do you think is happening?"
She actually did seem a bit worried about it. Especially after he said he was going to work for his dad's shop.

((Sorry I suck at replying, I was moving and things...))
"Twitchy there?" He chuckled a little as she moved around. "Don't worry, nothing too big and bad here at Camp Kill-Me-Now."
He raised an eyebrow at her. He had a general idea, one he heard from his father and brother. That the Dark Lord was getting powerful. He wasn't stupid enough to say anything about that though and shrugged. "I don't really pay attention to the muggle-world much," he said. Or Mudbloods for that matter either. "Whatever's going on, you don't need to worry. You'll be at school."

"It's not just the muggle world. My father works for Gringotts and has been telling me that some of the witches and wizards around the isles have been going missing."
She shrugs. And that is when she decided to go for it. She turned to face him, straddling the tree and moving a little closer to him. Her normal clothing, unlike her school uniform, was a bit lower cut and more form fitting. She looked up at him and gave a small smile.
"Maybe I'm just worried. About you when you leave. You wont be protected at Hogwarts. Maybe I'll miss you. Maybe not."
Her voice had grown quieter, like she was sharing a secret with him. Her hand ended up resting next to his leg as she leaned closer.

"Coincidence," he shrugged. "Daly Prophet always makes it look like its some mass conspiracy or something, when it's really just a couple of blokes getting drunk and wandering off..." He acted like he knew what he was talking about. He wasn't frightened though. If people were disappearing, he was on the right side of people to be following.
He had already been straddling the tree and smiled when Niela turned to face him. "I'll be alright, can't cause TOO much trouble, a guy running a shop," he leaned on his elbows, which rested on his knees. "And I may drop by school once and a while," he smirked a little. "Or I might not." He shrugged again.

Niela smiled at him and leaned closer slowly.
"Well, I will probably be there, at least for the next year."
She leaned in and kissed him. This was different than last time, though. It wasn't a kiss that just happened because of the situation. There was a passion in it, like a fire just starting to burn.
After a moment, she pulled back and looked at him. She didn't pull too far, though. If he decided he wanted to kiss her again, she would be right there.

Collin quickly responded to the kiss, raising his eyebrows in surprise that she'd be so forward with him. Wasn't it only a few months ago they were rivals? She'd jynx him in the halls, he'd transfigure her dinner into leeches...
But this wasn't a terrible turn of events. When she pulled away, he responded with a small smirk. "I knew you liked it better than you showed off back at the lake," he said before leaning in and capturing her lips again.

As he kissed her again, she moved in closer with her body so they were practically pressed up against each other. She wanted so badly just to tell him to shut up just before he kissed her, but it was too late now.
For now, she just enjoyed the moment. Her hand came up and rested on his shoulder as they continued to kiss. She wondered, for a brief moment, if this was it for them. Would he really come back to the school sometimes? And if so, would he care that she was there. But those thoughts passed quickly. She just decided to focus on the moment and enjoy what they were doing now.
Her other hand moved to his leg and stayed there for now.

He pulled her so she'd move closer as he leaned back against the trunk of the tree. She wasn't a horrible kisser, in fact, she was pretty good at it, and he moved his hand up into her hair as he deepened the kiss, holding her there.
((sorry it's short, brain fizzled =P))

As much as she might have been in Gryffindor, she was not one of their goody-two-shoes girls. Brave yes, but maybe not in the most straight forward of ways. What happened next proved it.
As he leaned back, her hand went up into his shirt, across his stomach and over his chest. She was pushing his shirt off, breaking the kiss only long enough for it to come over his head before returning to the kiss, even more passionately.

Collin liked where this was going, but he knew getting caught as a counselor making out with a camper somewhere not far from camp would probably result not so well in his favor.
"C'mere," he said, quickly swinging his leg off the fallen tree, grabbing his shirt and Niela and bringing her deeper into the forrest.

Niela wasn't sure if what she was about to do was a good idea or not, but she felt it was right. Everything about it. So, when he took her hand and led her deeper into the forest, she followed, smiling as she went. It truely was a Mid-Summer's Night Dream.
