Collin wasn't sure what he did to deserve this kind of punishment. He had been told it would be best to stay close to the school, at least for the summer, before becoming a Death Eater like he had planned. And the only way to stay close to the school for the summer months was to go to Camp.
Being too old for any ordinary camper, and to add to Collin's misery, he had been stuck as a camp councilor, but not just any councilor, but he was stuck in charge of 4 Gryffindor second years. He had heard of the boys, noting pleasant, but he had heard of them, and he was NOT looking forward to the summer one bit.
He was the first to arrive at the cabin and threw his bag on the bed in the back of the room. He then pulled out his wand and cast a spell at the other four beds, pushing them to the other side of the room and away from him.

Remus showed up shortly after Collin. He traveled light, after all, carrying just one thin, weather-beaten suitcase that wasn't even full. It was just as well that his load was light, because the full moon had been just a few days before, so he was feeling particularly wiped. Thanks to the miracle of timing, there would only be one full moon during his stay at camp, and arrangements had been made for Zander and the rest of the pack to pick him up that evening and take him somewhere safe.
Entering the cabin, Remus took a look around. Only the counselor, who looked to be a Slytherin boy, was in the room. He was lying on his bed, looking thoroughly disinterested. Remus decided not to say anything to him, and instead walked over to the bed furthest from the window. There, hopefully, he wouldn't have to see the moon.

Sirius arrived next, and any hope that the two early occupants of the cabin might have had of getting a bit of peace and quiet were immediately shattered.
Sirius was levitating his trunk in front of him, purposely allowing it to bump against any surface that dared to be in its way. He'd already taken out two tree branches, a low-hanging clothesline, even a chimney at one point. Now, as he reached the cabin, he allowed the trunk to bang against the roof overhang first, causing a few shards of wood to come raining down on the porch. Then he lowered the trunk and banged it against the door--not once, not twice, but three times, as thought it were a battering ram.
The door flew open on the last bang, knocked partially off its hinges and hanging at a precarious angle. Sirius guided the trunk over toward the beds, and, seeing Remus lying on the one farthest from the window, dropped his trunk on the floor next to him.
"Remus!" he called boisterously. "Good to see ya, buddy!"
He walked over and dropped down on the bed next to Remus's. He then glanced over at his counselor, a surly-looking Slytherin. "Man, why do we always get the Slytherin counselors?" he groaned.

James to Remus: James walked into the cabin with his suite case with him. Another summer at camp, but there was nothing wrong with that, after all he still got to see Lily. She still thought he was scum most of the time, but even he knew she had a soft spot for him. Of course, James also knew that he couldn't let his daydreaming get in the way of certain things. After all Sirius would have no problem teasing him about it.
Once he entered the cabin, James grinned as he saw Sirius and Remus. He did notice a few shingles that had fallen off the roof and assumed it was more than likely Sirius. After all he heard a few thuds just before he walked into the cabin.
"Hello boys," he greeted with his usual grin. He looked to the Slytherin in the corner and rolled his eyes. Approaching two of his friends, James replied, "Just so we can practice our new pranks on them of course."

"What the bloody fu-" Collin swore as the second boy basically rammed the door open with his trunk. "Do they not teach people how doors work in that house of yours?" he asked, swinging himself off the bed and approaching the three Gryffindor boys.
"Now listen up, because there's plenty of things I'd rather be doing this summer than making sure you brats don't blow the camp up." He fixed the door with a wave of his wand and slammed it with another. "Now, like I said. I have things to do, people to see, none of which includes you. Don't. Get in. My way. Understood? You don't want to mess with me," he glared at Remus. and then looked between the three.
"Aren't there supposed to be four of you?"

Sirius smirked and shot a look at James. Yes, they were going to have fun with this one. If he'd hoped that they would leave him alone, he had definitely gone about it in the wrong way. Threats, to Sirius and James in particular, were really just challenges. And the nastier the threat, the more fun the challenge would be. Already wicked ideas were spinning around in Sirius's head and he couldn't wait until the Slytherin boy was gone so he could start sharing them with James.
"Who, us?" he said, affecting an air of innocence that fooled precisely no one. "We wouldn't dream of causing you any trouble. We're just kids, what kind of trouble could we possibly get in?"

Peter quietly sneaked in just before the Slytherin boy fixed the door and slammed it shut. He jumped a little when the boy slammed the door shut. "There, there are four of us," Peter spoke up just as he lowered his trunk on his bed. Coming to camp was something he didn't really want to do, but then again he did have his friends now. He didn't want to let them down by not coming to camp.
It really was true, Peter would follow Sirius, James, and Remus anywhere they went and he would do whatever they wanted him to do. In a way he looked up to them. They already seemed like brothers and he had wanted in on that. He finally thought he had somewhere where he belonged.
Glancing over to the Slytherin boy, Peter raised his eyebrow. Sure, Peter maybe quiet but he was not one to really mess around with. He would take and take from people, but there was something that no one really knew, except maybe his friends, he was capable of almost anything.
"Hello boys, sorry I was a little late."

James patted Peter on the back as a welcome when he came in. "Sirius is right," he said turning to the Slytherin boy. "We're just kids. We have no idea what trouble you think we might be able to cause." He gave an almost innocent look.
It was going to be a long summer for Collin, James would make sure of it. After all threatening the four boys meant trouble. Even for young boys they were brilliant when it came to creativity.

Sirius also gave Peter a clap on the back. "Glad you made it, buddy," he said. He paused to look around at the four boys. It really was a relief to be able to come here during the summer, instead of staying home. He was afraid that he'd get stuck locked up at home in that dark, depressing mausoleum they called a house. Regulus had opted to stay home for the summer, which made his time away at camp all the more rewarding.
Giving an exaggerated yawn and a stretch, Sirius walked back over to the bed he'd already claimed as his own and flopped down on his back. The cheap mattress groaned and bent under the force of it, but it held intact somehow. "Really, you don't have to worry about us at all. In fact, I think it's time for our nap time, right guys?"

Remus could already sense the trouble in the air. He'd been sitting calmly on his bed, a book open on his lap, watching the scene unfold before him. He'd called out his greetings to each of his friends as they entered the cabin, and he saw the scheming look that passed between James and Sirius when Collin had threatened them. It was all very much like last summer.* Dean had been their counselor then, and the boys had harassed him terribly. In return, Dean had become suspicious about Remus' disappearances and followed him out to the woods just before the moon rose over the horizon. He refused to leave, even when Zander arrive to take Remus safely into the woods for the transformation... and he'd wound up getting bitten. Remus hadn't seen Dean lately, but he knew he was still hanging out with Zander and the rest of the pack.
Remus just sighed softly, looking back and forth between James and Sirius. He hoped, whatever they did to Collin wouldn't end up jeopardizing his secret again.

Collin snorted. "Yeah, just kids my arce," he shook his head. He was 12 once, he knew the mishaps they could cause. Two of them didn't look like they could be that dangerous, and the other two just seemed cocky. Collin was sure if they were to get up to something, he'd be able to take care of it.
"Whatever, I don't care if you nap right now," who napped after the age of six anyway. "I'm out of here for a bit, play nice and all that crap I'm supposed to tell you four to do." And he stalked out of the cabin, donning a pair of sun glasses and off to find some older students with hopefully half a brain.

Sirius barked a laugh as Collin left the cabin in the Slytherin equivalent of a dramatic flourish. He waited a minute, watching out the window to see that their so-called counselor was out of sight and earshot.
"Yeah, right, naptime," he said, rolling his eyes and sitting up. He looked around the cabin at his friends, a mischievous gleam in his eyes. "That guy's got it coming to him. So what should we do? Laxative potion in his canteen? Itching powder in his bunk?"

Severus's never had an impressive amount of anything, his clothes were always ill fitting when it wasn't in his school robes and most of his precious belongings were things that were his mothers. He cringed as he heard the noise coming from the cabin, recognizing voices of people he'd rather never have seen for the rest of the summer. He sighed and thought darkly about he should be at least glad he wasn't going to be at home to hear the yelling...or worse the sounds of fists hitting flesh. Sometimes he could dwell of the sound and almost see the bruises forming... or if he closed his eyes and in the dark, imagine how terrible things said could rend holes in his mother's soul.
He pushed the door open and walked past everyone, ignoring them in favor of dragging his trunk to an unoccupied bed.
It looked just as soft as his Hogwart's bed, better than the thin an hard mattress he had at home. He had to keep reminding himself that he wasn't at home, he had the hope of some time where he couldn't be as hurt or broken.
His robe was dark, but not quite black, as he caught sight of his sleeve in comparison of the white sheet that peaked from under the pillow. He pushed his trunk into place and sat on his bed, tired from pulling his trunk. He may not of had so many things, but he wasn't used to pushing them around.

(OMG, Poor Severus.... lol)
All conversation came to an abrupt halt when the cabin door swung open again and Severus Snape walked in. Sirius exchanged glances with the other four, a slow, wicked smile spreading across his face. Of all the cabins in all the camp, Severus Snape had to walk into theirs. This would not be an easy summer for him, but it would be fun for Sirius and the others...
"Hey, Snivellus," he said loudly. "I think you walked into the wrong cabin. This is is a grease-free zone."

Remus wasn't smiling. There was a part of him that empathized with Severus, more than he'd ever admit. Remus often felt that, if he had not wound up in Gryffindor with James, Sirius, and Peter, that he would have ended up being another of their victims. He was quiet, bookish, and sometimes painfully shy. Like Severus, his clothes were all tattered and worn, and his belongings were all secondhand. If James and Sirius hadn't forced him out of his shell and decided to befriend him, he could very likely have ended up in exactly Severus's position. Of course, Severus didn't exactly do much to improve his situation... but that didn't mean he deserved what he got.
On the other hand, of course, Remus was just so glad to have three very loyal friends that he didn't like to rock the boat. They knew his secret, after all, and even though he trusted them completely, he didn't want to make them mad. He didn't have to participate in their torture of the Slytherin boy, but he didn't try very hard to stop it, either.
"Come on, Sirius, leave him be. He just got here," he said. He reached into his pack and took out a book, then quickly hid himself behind it.
OK, so it wasn't a fierce defense of the guy, but at least he'd registered his disapproval. Whatever happened next he would take no responsibility for.

Severus looked up sharply at hearing Sirius open is thrice damned mouth. His eyes narrowed when Remus gave his flimsy defense.
"Oh, that's strikingly clever Black. Really I'm in awe of just how that Gryffindor brain of yours works." he snarked. He really was in no mood for Black's mocking. He felt like he just escaped one prison cell for another with a better view. He was around magic and everything that made his world worth living in. He sneered at Black, he was a stain on his miserable life. It was like God was laughing at him. It was so infuriating, he couldn't have that kind of total comfort that Potter and Black had, He had Hogwarts, but he had to live with them. It was like a down pillow and a bed filled with pebbles.

James snickered as Sirius gave ideas for Collin, however, he became silent as the door swung open. Severus walked in and James watched him walk over to his bed. He never really saw what Lily ever saw in him. Even more ideas were turning in James' head.
"Maybe Remus is right Sirius," he said with a mischievous look to his friend. "Sev just got here, maybe we should let him breathe for a moment. After all, even he needs a summer break." Of course, James wouldn't leave Severus alone for long, but right now he was more worried about creating something for Collin. Maybe they could get both Collin and Sev at the same time.

Sirius was prepared to ignore Remus's comment. They all knew that Remus didn't really like when they picked on people, but he wouldn't stop them. He just had to register his disapproval, and they all expected that. What took Sirius by surprise, however, was James. His eyes widened, and he turned to look at his friend.
But then he caught the meaningful look James was giving him. Somehow, the two of them had reached the point where all it took was a look for one to understand the other. They'd have plenty of time to mess with Severus later. First they had to deal with Collin, who had pretty much asked for it.
"Yeah, all right. But I'd better not slip on any grease trails you leave behind, Snivellus."

Severus glared at Black "I'd ask you not to let your stupidity out of your body, but that would be impossible for you." he toed off his shoes and pushed them under the bed with his foot. He had never been so grateful for a matching pair of socks in his life. If they were going to leave him mercifully alone, they wouldn't of if they saw him in a less than decent pair of socks.
He laid down on the bed and turned his back toward them. He felt tired and didn't want to go out and try to find Slytherins to just be safe with. He just wanted to find his bed and be left alone. It was his damned luck that put him here and he'd be twice damned if he was going to whine and get a different cabin. He was not weak and he wouldn't act like it, even if he wanted nothing more than give in to it.

"Whoa, whoa, wait a second," Sirius said, sliding down from his bed and moving towards Severus. "Did I hear you allowing yourself to speak? I don't recall saying that was acceptable, Snivellus. I think maybe you'd better stand up and say that to my face."
And with that, he pointed his wand at Severus. "Wingardium Leviosa!" he shouted, causing Severus to rise up off the bed and hover in the air.
