Alyx didn't really have a home to go to. The school was her home, she didn't really have participating parental figures and they didn't really care where she spent her time so she prefered to be at the school. She spent all year there, during holidays and even during summer.
Stepping into the cabin she realized she was the first one there, she didn't know why but she sighed, while other kids were being dropped off by parents and kissed goodbye and packing up things for the trip Alyx really just had to move her things from her dorm to the cabin and that was all she had in the world, it was relatively easy for her to move. Still she wouldn't dwell on that, it was far too depressing.
She moved to unpack her things finding it almost calming to do it by hand rather than use a spell, when everything was in it's proper place she laid down on the bed she claimed for herself and sighed. Unknowningly she had taken out a red sheer scarf that she wore at the ball and began to run the material through her fingers thinking back to that night, the best night of her life.
Suddenly a figure filled the doorway and almost as if she had been caught doing something bad she hid the scarf behind her then tucked her hair behind her ear, "Hi...I took the corner bed...hope that's okay."

Whoever made the room assignments obviously kept tabs on what dramas were going on in the school. She knew Callie and Linny were in the same cabin, and she was beyond thankful that she was in a different one. It was sad, really- at the beginning of the year, the girls would have put up such a stink about it that one way or another, they would have ended up in the same cabin. Or if they still hadn't, they would have snuck around at night anyway. She knew she wasn't going to their cabin... and she had a strong suspicion they weren't coming to hers.
She was also quite aware that Rabastan was here, somewhere- probably in his own cabin waiting for his campers, since he was a counselor. He was graduated now, and nothing had been said about where they stood- she found herself nervous about it. Still, if he intended to break up with her, he would have done it already, right?
And then there was Neil, her friend. A fellow dove. They joked about it before hand, even. She hoped she'd get to see him a bit.
She was not the first in her cabin, and she waved away the girl's apology. "Totally fine. I can sleep anywhere." She recognized Alyx from the year below her, and offered a smile. "This should be fun, right?"

"So far so good." she smiled with a nod. She didn't really know the Sanders triplets but she knew this one was Bobby because she had seen the name on the list.
"I'm Alyx...we haven't really met." she said extending her hand.
