Rose had never been to the popular club before, she was always too busy studying, but school was over and she had passed with flying colors, now it was only a matter of where she wanted to go and what she wanted to do, quite literally the world was at her feet and she could study anything she wanted. This was cause for celebration.
Somehow, though she wasn't sure how it had happened, they convinced her to get dressed up and attend the masked theme Spellbound had tonight. And why not? It was the perfect excuse to break out of her skin and have a little fun, besides she was due for at least one night of care free exuberance, and what better way to do that then behind a mask?
She wore a black dress that hugged her curves, shorter than she normally would have worn, but it showed off her legs to perfection, heels complementing the package, but really it was the black lace mask against her angel white skin that held a bewitching appeal.
In fact that's exactly how she looked, like an angel lost in a den of iniquity.

A little birdy whispered in his ear that Spellbound was the place to be this night and he of course was happy to go to wherever the party was. Dashing as ever in a black long sleeve shirt and black slacks he wore a red tie and a red and black mask. This night he would live up to his namesake.
His feet leading him he leaned against the bar and ordered a drink.

Kayri, even though she usually was at work on these nights over at the Chinese place, had instead been hired on tonight to work as entertainment for the big masquerade party. Her circus experience had gotten her some attention when the event coordinator for SpellBound had come to get a bite to eat at the restaurant. They had spoken for a few moments and she had explained how she ended up in Europe, and then was offered a job as entertainment. Above the heads of the guests, suspended in mid air by two blue strips of silk, hung Kayri, at the moment in a full split. images.ohioeventfinder.com/80609/LAFXBUDS-medium.jpgShe continued her movement, flipping around into a position that looked much like a stag in full leap, keeping with the music that was being broadcast from the band on stage. She wore a blue body suit, that looked like water wrapped around her body and sparkled in the lights, and a blue mask that flowed across her face like the silks flowing from the ceiling. She wrapped herself into the silks, positioning them onto her body correctly before letting go. She suddenly dropped, rolling quickly out of the silks until she reached the end and caught herself in a spectacular display of dexterity. At the same exact moment as she caught herself, a burst of fire lit up herself and the silks, changing her costume into a more fire looking outfit, and the silks changed to a red and yellow. Many of the guests clapped for the display and the band as she began to climb her way back up, continuing in her performance.

Natasha clapped along with the others around her, though she wasn't all that impressed with the performance. Oh truly it was beautiful and impressive, but she had her mind on other matters. Matters like Justin Scotts and what the hell she was going to do with him. If that wasn't bad enough she had her step brother to worry about sniffing around what she had been up to, figures that if she showed him less interest he'd come crawling back...and after all wasn't that what she wanted? She just didn't know anymore.
Natasha wasn't sure why she went to the club during the masquerade, truth was she didn't much feel like dressing up, but she had to get out of the house with her mother on her tail about Justin, and a night of naughty fun behind a mask did have it's appeal. She wore a silk green dress with black lace over it and a complimentary green mask. Her lips were painted red and she wore a few of the family rubies at her throat and wrists, she looked like the serpant in the garden of eden, an irresistible temptation.

Brian decided it was time to take in a few more sights, wandering the streets in darkness he came upon flyers for a dance or ball the pictures were mesmerizing. He smiled and picked a flyer from its grimy home, being tacked to a dirty brick wall and folded it into a small square and tucked into an inner coat pocket. He made his way toward the venue, ignoring the need for a mask, he was already better dressed in his old suit and well cared for shoes than newer and shinier wizards and witches in their glittery regalia. He slipped in and was caught by the sight of the woman in silks. They way her body moved in the air, wrapped in long ropes of fabric would of made his heart race, if he still had one that beat. She was interesting, she was an artist in a newer world than one he came from. Maybe he should make an attempt and talk to her. He wasn't so interested in her body as he was in how she used it. It was used for expression of something emotional and musical, or at least it seemed that way to him. "Beautiful." was the only thing he said standing still in the crowd watching her body twist around her ropes.

Justin had no particular intentions in attending the masquerade. He had no business transactions planned, and he was certainly not expecting to see Natasha here. In fact, if anything, he was rather hoping to find some pretty, willing little thing with whom he could spend the night, no strings and no commitments. Maybe it would help him get over his increasing frustration over Natasha.
He was dressed all in black, with his hair slicked back and a black mask covering half of his face. The show attracted his attention briefly, but soon he was scanning the crowds for... He didn't even know what. That is, he didn't know until his eyes came to rest on the shapely brunette.
Even dressed as she was and wearing a mask, Justin would have recognized her anywhere. Natasha. Why did she have to go out in public dressed to torment any man who gazed upon her?
Without even realizing his feet were moving, he was behind her. He leaned in and spoke in a low voice, deeper than his usual voice. Maybe he could play with her a little, tease her into a memory of the night he had rescued her from the rubble of Hogsmeade. The first time they kissed, when she didn't know who he was.
"Ah, so we meet again," he said. "I must say, you look far less... innocent... than the last time I saw you."

Her hips were swaying slightly to the music, though her mind was far away and removed, even when she was trying to escape him she couldn't because her mind wouldn't let her.
Then she felt it, somewhere in the room someone was watching her, it was a peculiar little feeling but the hair on her neck stood up, then she felt him behind her. The air was charged with electricity but when she heard his voice it was as if she had been struck by lightning, she spun around to see him and knew at once it was the man who had rescued her. "It's you..."

Kayri finished her performance in a quick spiral downwards from the top of the silks and hung, at the end of the silks, a foot above the crowds head, in a deep arch, illusions of the elements trailing behind her before she finally landed on the stage. She took a final bow for this performance and headed off stage.
Another performance of jugglers was taking the stage as she rehydrated herself. Her body suit shifted into a simple purple satin dress as she began to make her way through the crowd to the bar at the back of the hall.
"Hello lovely, what can I get you?"
"Just a coke and vodka." She responded in her romanian accent. she sat down for now, glad for the rest before she would have to take the stage again in another hour or so.

It was the perfect time to play his little game with her, and she'd never suspect. Did she feel differently about the mysterious stranger than she did about him? Th kiss in Hogsmeade had been intense and passionate, but so had the kiss in his sitting room a few days earlier. Was there a difference? And was it crazy to feel jealous of himself? Nevertheless, his lips curved into a positively sinful smile as she recognized him. It was a smile that held wicked promises. "So you remember me, my lady? I am flattered. Perhaps you could honor me with a dance."

Brian kept his gaze on the graceful woman, even the way she walked away from her act held a graceful stride in her step. He thought for a moment of his Mandy and how she would love her, but pushed the thought aside. Walking toward her, he plucked a drink away from some inattentive wizard in a plain mask and pretended to sip it. He was surprised the graceful woman wasn't surrounded by her previous onlookers, it would make talking to her so much easier though. he applauded genteelly with one hand on his wrist as he stepped behind her, "You were absolutely marvelous, Music with form!" he smiled as he addressed her, waiting for her to turn and face him.

There was another person observing Kayri, but he was keeping a low profile. Dean was watching her, his entire face hidden behind a mask. He wore a black cloak with a hood, which contrasted eerily with his white mask. He cut a menacing figure as he blended into the shadows. Normally he would prefer to be out there, getting close to her, but today he wanted to stay incognito. He was watching her, learning her patterns and her tells. After all, he had plans for her.
If he could figure out her routines, he might be able to find a way to get close to her during the full moon, so that he could turn her. He had yet to make his own pup, and he wanted her to be the first.
As he watched her, he noticed that there was another pair of eyes on her. he turned and scanned the crowd, even giving the air a subtle sniff to check for anything unusual. That was when he noticed the scent. The scent of death and dust. He scanned again until his eyes fell on Brian. He'd never come face to face with a vampire before, and he wasn't sure what to expect. But he couldn't let that undead leech interfere with his plans.
So he slowly moved through the crowd, advancing closer to the vampire....

Kayri had just recieved her drink when she heard someone speaking to her. She turned around and looked at the man standing beside her, speaking. He did not wear a mask and she found this a bit odd, but brushed it off. Not everyone was going to wear the mask constantly.
"Mulþumesc, ah, Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed it."
She took a drink as she felt another pair of eyes on her. She glanced around the crowd quickly, but saw no signs of another. Then again, in this situation, it would be difficult to tell where anyone was looking, thanks to the low light and the masks. She just as quickly turned her attention back to the man before her, a quick shiver running down her spine.
"I'm sorry, Domnul, I do not think I got your name?"

((A Romanian lady, how refreshing. You will forgive my accent, yes?))
"Ah!((O doamnă român, cum revigorant. Va ierta accentul meu, da?" )) Brian smiled and gave her a little bow, noticing the little shiver that ran through her strong frame. "My name is Brian. You'll forgive my forwardness, won't you? Your performance was spectacular, as I said before." he smiled genially and took a small sip of his stolen drink and repressing the urge to wince at the flavor. It was no warm vein in any measure. He did feel his tongue tingle as the drink did chemically tease his mouth.
"You're transfiguration looks so flawless," he gazed down at her gown "You are truly magical, I don't often see artists with so many disciplines." He paused in his flattery to see if she would 'talk shop' with him. He always considered himself an artist, even when Mandy would none to gently mock him as being a dead poet.

"Thank you, again. Your accent is fine, only a few syllables wrong. As for the show, it is simply listening to the music and letting it lead you to where it wants to be."
She smiles gently at him.
"One must learn these things when growing up as I did. But I am glad you enjoyed the show. I hope you will stay around, as I am sure this is not my final performance for the night."

Perhaps you could honor me with a dance." Natasha held her breath simply enthralled by him, honestly she didn't know whether to slap him or kiss him again. That delay gave him enough time to sweep her into a dance, by the time she regained her composure she was already swaying with him. "I never thought I'd see you again." It was difficult to understand how she meant her statement, difficult because she didn't know herself. She didn't know how to feel about him, she knew that his kiss had haunted her, she knew that he terrified her in some ways, but she knew she was safe with him and she couldn't explain it, she was also mad as all hell that he had the gall to attack the students, kiss her, and disappear though she wasn't sure which action made her the most angry. But when it came right down to it, she was helpless against him. She never would have suspected it to be Justin, even though the only other time she felt such a pull was in his arms. In all honesty the mask and the mystery only brought out a deeper sense of possession, he possessed her and she possessed him. The feelings were the same with Justin, but because of who he was and because of the possibility of romance between them was so great, Natasha had been fighting the feelings she had. Here however, with a masked mystery there was no danger, it was a dream, and in a dream she could be whoever she wanted, and she could be with whomever she chose.

This little game was already both enticing and frustrating. As it was, Natasha was one of the few women who had resisted his charms. Despite the kiss between them the other night, Justin was quite certain that she was still denying her interest in him and it made him crazy. Maybe it was just the thrill of the chase, but he couldn’t quite get enough of her, and already felt he couldn’t rest until she was as desperate for him as he was for her.
But the masked alter ego was an unexpected wrinkle. Yes, the kiss in Hogsmeade the day of the attack had been intense and passionate, but much of that had been to the adrenaline pumping through their systems as the attack raged on around them. Now to find out that she had thought about him, even so much as to theorize on whether they would meet again, was strange and confusing, yet exciting to him. How was he supposed to take that? This masked man that had helped her out of Hogsmeade and kissed her among the chaos—she knew he was a death eater. She knew what he was and she shouldn’t have wanted to see him again. But she did, and even though she didn’t know it was him, he felt it was somehow proof that all her denials were just empty words.
“You thought about me?” he said in a cool tone. “If I had known that, I might have sought you out sooner, Natasha Davenport. Yes… I know your name.”
He let that settle in the air for a moment, as he looked her up and down, taking in her dress, her figure, everything. She was stunning, and he smiled seductively as he slowly trailed his fingers down her arm. “You don’t look any the worse for wear after that day in Hogsmeade. In fact, I think you are by far the most beautiful woman in the room.”

Quite simply, he saved her life. Besides she wasn't a fool, while many of the Death Eaters were cruel and sadistic, many were in the battle because they were pureblooded. She herself was a pureblood, and as with most purebloods, that meant money. She didn't know who she was standing in front of, but it very well could have been someone she knew, perhaps someone she even grew up with and mingled with in the same social circles.
The Hogsmeade attack was brutal and unforgiving, and she hated the chaos and confusion the attack had brought. It seemed to her that it was sloppy and not at all thought out. There were innocents in the fray, children of influential family members, this wasn't an attack on the ministry, or an attack on muggle-born or muggle-friendly wizards and witches, it was an unorganized chaotic attack on children. As it was however Natasha had real doubts as to whether or not the impending war was about blood or if it, like most things in her world of the upper elite, about power. All wars were usually about power, and power was something she understood. Power was something the enigmatic figure in front of her had.
He was powerful, dangerous, mysterious, and as she had figured out from their previous time together, he was extremely well built, she was half in love with him already.
"You know-" he cut her off after surprising her with knowledge of her identity, but the way her name rolled off his tongue sent chills down her spine.
By the end of his compliment she had regained her composure, "Is that so? Well perhaps a dance then...to thank you for saving my life."

For once in his life, Justin Scotts had no idea what he was doing. Already the game between them had become intense, even when she knew exactly who he was. Now he was adding another layer... he was actually becoming his own competition. He should have known that a woman like Natasha would love a mystery, a challenge that she could work out. She didn't like to be pursued... she wanted to be the pursuer, in a way, to feel that she had some measure of control.
He hadn't attended the masquerade with the intention of romancing her as the masked man from Hogsmeade. He hadn't intended any of this to happen. But right now, he had her full attention and she wasn't fighting him the way she usually did. Maybe he could use this alter ego to find out more about her, what made her tick. Or maybe it was all just part of the game.
He had no idea what he was doing or what his plan was, but he decided in that moment to just go with it. Maybe she would never have to know that he was the masked man who had saved her from the chaos in which he had willingly taken part.
"I would be honored to have a dance with you, my lady," he replied, his wicked smile showing beneath the mask. He held out his hand to her and led her to the dance floor.

There was something painfully familiar about him and she couldn't shake the feeling that she was getting in over her head, but perhaps that was where she wanted to be. She was supposed to be in love with her Step brother but he had never made her feel quite so alive as the man beside her.
When he smiled her heart sped up, when she placed her hand in his chills assailed her frame. This was a perfect seduction, he was a perfect temptation, and as they squared off preparing to dance with one another she knew that she would taste his kiss again before the night was through.
As the previous song ended Natasha placed her arms over his shoulders and held her breath for the music to begin.
