Simple Cravings (Ethan/Lilac/Open)

Alyx had a secret comfort food. Whenever she felt alone or angry Chinese calmed her down. When she stumbled onto the Royal Dragon she knew she made a friend for life.

She frequented the place at least once a month during school time and during the summer at least once a week. She said hello to the usual waitress then took a seat and waited.

The door opened behind her just as she was getting a drink, and as if she could sense a different charge in electricity in the room she turned toward the door and gasped.

She hadn't thought about the ball in a while...no who was she kidding, she thought about that night every night, but life went on, classes finished and she hadn't seen him again. She knew he was an older boy in Slytherin and that was about it. Now her heart was pounding as she came face to face with those deep eyes and full mouth. She could only pray he didn't see her.

"Ethan I'm hungry and you promised!" Lilac said with only a hint of petulance. She never behaved this way with anyone other than her brother and it was only because he indulged her so. He always had, perhaps to make up for the way their father treated her.

She gave him a large grin and dragged him toward the Chinese restaurant. "I'm so hungry I could eat a cow." she said giddily. She really was a bright and happy girl, only extremely subdued around those she didn't know.

When she entered the restaurant her brother on her arm she scanned the room for a place to sit and her eye caught Alyx her grin widened, "Oh look she goes to Hogwarts, I'm going to go say hi." before another word was said she was gone.
