Eve held the tickets in her hand as she waited for the others to join her. She had gotten there slightly earlier than the others giving herself time to think. Usually with the guys and Viv she was too busy having fun that she didn't think about anything but the moment, but now she had so much to think about. What was going on with Lance and Viv? Were they a couple now? What was going on with Josh and herself? Were they a couple?
When did all this couple stuff happen? She knew that she cared a great deal for Josh...something she couldn't really explain but at the same time it frightened her to even think about growing up yet. And what about her Father? Who would stay with him after she graduated? Who would take care of him?
Too much responsibility for one small girl, and yet it seemed like the weight of the world was on her shoulders. Just as she sighed however she heard a familiar voice that instantly calmed her, "Hey." she smiled

(I changed my mind... The brothers should show up together...)
Genevieve loved the movies. She had never been to a wizard movie theater, but she loved the muggle theaters back home, and tried to go every chance she got. One day she hoped to take Lance to one of those theaters, to show him the kind of magic that muggles could create. Maybe it wasn't as fantastic and flashy as real magic, but there was still something special about watching the images flicker and dance before your eyes, seeing the stories unfold. She hoped that magical movies were just as special.
The Knight Bus dropped her off in Hogsmeade, and she made her way to the magical movie theater, where she quickly spotted a familiar figure. Even from the back, Genevieve couldn't help but recognize Eve. Smiling to herself, she made her way over to her friend.
"Eve!" she said happily, hugging her. "I know it's only been a few weeks, but it's seemed like forever... I miss you!"

Eve's smile was warm as she met her friend and returned the hug. "And I missed you..." she realized the validity of that statement and smiled. She remembered when she didn't like the girl very much because she felt her place in the boy's lives was being taken over, but more recently she had needed a female friend and she was very happy to have Viv around.

Of course, Genevieve had never even suspected that Eve was in any way jealous of her. The four of them were just great friends, and, until recently, there hadn't been much more than that. Truthfully, of course, Genevieve had always been particularly fond of Lance, but now it was becoming much more than that. Somehow, for Genevieve, it seemed like that was how it always should have been... Lance and Viv, Josh and Eve. They were perfect together.
"I was thinking," she said enthusiastically. "Do you think maybe I could come and stay with you for a couple of weeks this summer? Would your father mind? My mother already said it would be OK, and then maybe you could come and stay at my place for the end of the summer?"

"I can ask.." she said brightly. She didn't know how her father would react to that, she knew her Aunt probably wouldn't approve, the woman didn't like anything that changed her schedule around.
"But I'd love to stay with you in anycase." she smiled

Genevieve didn't really understand Eve's family situation. Eve didn't really talk about it, and although Lance had probably explained it to her at one point, Genevieve still didn't entirely understand the kinds of things Eve was dealing with at home. It wasn't that she was selfish, it was simply that she couldn't understand that Eve would be so neglected. She was naive in a way, expecting all families to be just like hers.
"I just wish there was more to do in my hometown. We're kind of a hick town... at least you're close to London where you live. And Josh and Lance are there, of course...."
As she mentioned their names, Genevieve looked up toward the door, hoping to see the twins walking in. But they weren't there yet, and she quickly turned back to Eve. "Speaking of Josh, you have to tell me... has he asked you out yet? Like, officially?"

She smiled, yes Josh and Lance were there, and were it not for them she'd probably have gone crazy with her aunt's schedules and rules, and her father's comatose state. Although now that he was getting better he wanted to see more of her, and she in turn wanted to see more of him. But there were things that she just couldn't go to her father about...things like Josh.
She blushed becomingly when Viv mentioned Josh and felt her heart skip a beat at his name. "No he hasn't." she admitted, "But that's okay...we're taking things slow it's all very strange...I've known him forever and I've never really dated anyone before..."

The brothers always showed up not too far behind the girls. It was almost as if they had a radar for them. Josh grinned widely when he saw the girls and walked up to them putting his arm around both of them. In a way it was like he heard his name and he just appeared. "Two of my favorite people," he said hugging them both then planting a kiss on Eve's temple.
"You two haven't been plotting anything before Lance and I got here have you?"

"Of course not..." she said with a familiar mischevious twinkle in her eye. It always caught her by surprise now how devastatingly handsome he was, and how her stomach seemed to do flip flops every time she saw him.
She melted a little when he kissed her temple. Things really were changing for them and she wasn't sure if she was capable of changing as fast as she was.
"Here." she said handing him his ticket, "By the way Viv was just talking about staying over for some of the Summer and it got me to thinking are we should do something special this summer the four of us...go somewhere maybe camping?"

Genevieve smiled softly and stepped aside while Josh and Eve talked, allowing them a little "alone" time. Lance was not there yet, but she assumed he'd be right behind Josh. The twins were never usually very far apart. That was one of the things she loved about Lance--he had such a strong sense of family. Her family, as much as she loved them, didn't really understand her. They were all muggles, and she was just the odd one out with her magic.
But the Jordan family, they got it. Both of Lance's parents had been muggleborn, so they understood what it was like to be divided between two worlds and never entirely feeling like you were part of either. They'd been so kind and welcoming, and were such loving parents for Lance. That was part of why he had grown up to be the man she loved, and so she loved them as well.

Lance, as predicted, was not far behind his brother. It was probably partially that twin thing they had going on, but unless it came to the girls, Josh and Lance were pretty inseparable. He hoped it stayed that way, in fact, but he wasn't terrible worried. Even when the girls were involved, they tended to be together. The four of them has been best friends since forever.
They still were. But things were different now, too. Josh and Eve were definitely a "thing," and if he had a say in it.... Well, he supposed he and Viv were too. She had a childlike awe about everything that he loved. She gave him a new way of seeing things and experiencing things, and he was comfortable just in her presence.
"Thanks for waiting up," he muttered, playfully, as he caught up to his brother, and flashed a smile at the girls.

Genevieve's face lit up when Lance walked up to join them. Maybe it was naive of her, but she genuinely believed this was how it was supposed to be... her and Lance, Josh and Eve... the four of them together and inseparable. When she first started Hogwarts as a muggleborn student, Genevieve had feared that she wouldn't fit in, but she met the twins on her very first day, and from that time on, they had been her closest friends. Then when Eve had joined them a year later, as far as Genevieve was concerned, their little family had been complete.
She leaned close to Lance, silently slipping her hand into his with a sly smile on her face. "Glad you could join us," she said.

If she had been anyone else to say that to him, he would have responded with some smart comment about knowing he wasn't joining the party that late, because he'd been following his brother's arse the whole way here. But Viv wasn't the kind of girl to pull of sarcasm well, and it made his stomach do funny things to think that she was just genuinely glad that he could join them.
He smile at her, looking down a bit as she leaned into him, and squeezed her hand to silently let her know that he was glad, too- every perfect day would begin and end like that.
"So..." he said, tearing his attention away from her and looking towards Eve and his brother. "What's the plan?"

Genevieve leaned against him and smiled as he squeezed her hand. It was strange how nothing was spoken or official, but they all just knew. It almost seemed like that was always the way it was supposed to be--Josh and Eve, Lance and Viv. Paired off and yet together.
But when it came to things like this, Genevieve was happy to let the others take charge and decide what to do. She wasn't a planner, not really.... she couldn't think things through very well. But now that they were here, she didn't mind voicing her opinion.
"If we're going to see a movie, I hope it's something fun and exciting. Not too serious.... although if it's scary, at least I'll have Lance to protect me."
