Bartemius Crouch Jr. had a hankering for something sweet. He had followed some friends on a trip to Hogsmeade that day but had wondered away from them shortly after, bored with their mundane conversations. They hardly noticed. Barty was always far too quiet for anyone to take a second look at him. Sure he had a friend or two but it wasn't like he made it a habit of spending time with them. He liked his privacy.
He'd really only come with them because he'd been meaning to get to Honeydukes once more before the year was over. He loved their chocolates and didn't want to miss out on them over the summer. He walked into the shop, intent on buying a large supply, and began scanning the shelves. He didn't notice anyone else around him. He was preoccupied with his current mission on locating his favorites: the chocolate frogs.

It really was perfect timing. Harmony had been semi-stalking him for the last week or so, and now was her chance. It was the last Hogsmeade weekend of the term, sort of a reward for the students having survived the OWLs or the NEWTs or finals, and Harmony had been hoping she'd get a chance to catch him alone. It wasn't that he was usually surrounded by friends or anything... really, she was the one usually surrounded by "friends" and admirers. But she'd managed to ditch them at last, and ducked into the candy shop just behind Barty Junior.
Harmony hadn't decided what exactly she wanted from her fellow fourth year. She only knew that he fascinated her. He was kind of a geek, a loner type. But he was also a challenge, and Harmony never turned away from a challenge. Unless it was school work or something, of course.
She stood there for a moment, just watching him, to see where he was going. He was a man with a mission, which suited her very well, since she was on a mission of her own. So his mission would become her mission.
She saw him scan the shelves, his gaze coming to a stop on the display of chocolate frogs. Perfect. Chocolate was her weakness, too. Well, chocolate and diamonds, but she wasn't going to find the latter here.
Strolling confidently toward the chocolate frog display from the other side, she counted on the fact that he wasn't paying much attention to his surroundings. If they collided, he'd have to pay attention to her.

Barty Jr. didn't notice the blonde that was currently nearly stalking him. He was normally fairly observant but today he had a goal and nothing was going to distract him. He wasn't in the mood for people watching at the moment which was probably a good thing for Harmony. Normally he would have noticed someone standing so close to him. But alas, this was not the case. He picked up a couple boxes of his favorite treats and turned quickly, already going through the mental list he'd been making since he heard about this trip.
Distracted by his own thoughts, he stumbled into the beautiful Slytherin and dropped his chocolates. Fortunately for him they were well sealed and he wasn't forced to chase a couple of bewitched frogs around the store. He swooped to pick them up before looking at the girl before him.
"S-sorry," He said, sounding unsure of himself. He didn't normally apologize but he felt it was entirely his own fault that he bumped into her. Surely he should have noticed her standing there. She certainly wouldn't have noticed him. He felt awkward standing there and was itching to all but run away but she happened to be standing in his path. He would have to shove her to get by and he felt he'd harmed her person enough for one day.
He recognized her, of course. She was Harmony Lippre; a gorgeous Slytherin girl in his year. He'd caught her looking at him a couple of times and he only figured it was out of curiousity. A lot of people looked at him like a freak so he was used to it. He was a very awkward fourth year, being too tall for his age and often a little clumsy.

She even thought it was cute the way his voice hitched a little as he apologized. Maybe he was an odd choice for a grl like her, but he was mysterious and shy and definitely a challenge. He didn't leer at her, like he was silently devouring her with his eyes like a lot of boys did. he kept his head down, like he didn't want to be noticed... which was exactly why she did.
"It's OK," she assured him in a breezy tone. "It was probably my fault. I moved a little too fast and didn't realize that you didn't see me." Which, of course, was a complete lie. Not that he needed to know that. "I just need a chocolate fix desperately, you know? All these finals... it's worse than a dementor attack, I swear. Don't you agree?"

Barty thought she was odd now. People, especially girls and especially the pretty ones, usually ignored him. He was used to being a loner and didn't mind it. He preferred it actually, keeping only one or two "friends" and even them he only put up with because it was convienent. But despite all that, here she was, striking up a conversation with him. Did she not know who he was? Maybe she had hit her head when he bumped into her.
"Ermm, I guess...?" It came out as more of a question as he looked up at her curiously. She didn't look like there was anything wrong with her. She actually looked rather gorgeous. He found it hard to look her in the eye. He felt like if he did he'd say something incredibly stupid. He realized he should say something then and cleared his throat.
"I just came in for the chocolate frogs. Guilty pleasure of mine." He said, holding up the boxes to prove his point. The packaging was slightly damaged after being dropped but he didn't care. "Did you need something?" He asked, feeling awkward for being stuck there and gestured to the high shelves she was obviously to short to reach. Maybe that's why she was being nice. He was pretty tall.

Harmony flashed him her most brilliant smile. She actually liked that he was awkward and that he wasn't trying to charm her like most boys did. It gave her the chance to really pursue him and use the most of her own charms on him.
"Oh, I love chocolate frogs!" she said enthusiastically. "I used to collect the cards all the time, but there's only so many times you can get Dumbledore before it gets annoying, you know? It's not like he's really even that great." She rolled her eyes for effect. "Do you collect the cards? You don't seem like the type who'd be into that sort of thing."

From across the room, Elisabetta wrinkled her nose at the obvious flirting being done by her fellow Slytherin, a blonde named Harmony. Stuff like this made her sick, and--Slytherin or no Slytherin--Elisabetta wished she could put the other girl into detention for life. Public displays of affection, flirting, and all of that stuff was something that really should be banned at Hogwarts as far as she was concerned. It was simply not called for.
She then turned her attention to Barty Crouch, Jr. He was one of the quiet types...a bit too quiet for her taste, but then, she wasn't looking for a boyfriend. How he could possibly be responding to Harmony's advances, she had no idea. He just didn't seem like the dating type, but then again, stranger things had happened. Elisabetta shrugged and turned her attention back to the candy in front of her. She grabbed a few Pepper Imps, Ice Mice, and Fizzing Whizbees, then debated whether she wanted to go interrupt the flirt-fest in order to grab a few Chocolate Frogs.
