Personality (At least 4 sentences, but longer is preferred):
Bryony is a very cheerful girl, she tries to see things in a positive way, and tries to look on the bright side of things. The glass isn't just half full, it's half full of tangerine juice! She tends to be openminded, and give people a chance to show her their good side, before she judges them bad. Some people thinks she's naive because of that, but she tries to ignore that.
She gets excited very easily, and throws herself into things with an enthusiasm that can be a bit intimidating. She tends to get overambitious with projects and her potions partners view her participation with reactions ranging from timid smiles, resignation or outright dread. Often her attempts to make things better and improved lead to minor explosions and the occasional unexpected result. Full of school spirit, if she had been a muggle she would have been a cheerleader.

- Father: Gerald Bishop, 43 (divorced) advertising executive.
- Siblings (if any, list names and ages): none
- Other family members (if significant): none
History (At least 4 sentences):
Bryony grew up as a muggle to two parents, and lived a fairly normal if somewhat disorganized lifestyle. It seemed her mum was always trying something else. Palmistry, seances, crystals, aromatherapy, it was always something. It sometimes seemed as if her first five years of life were filled with some weird new smell every time she'd wake up. Patchouli incense burning, or sage burning, or some other not so legal substance, there was almost always something burning somewhere in the flat. Open windows, fans, and shallow breaths were the rule up until she was about six.
When she turned six, the battles between her mum and dad became epic. The recurring themes were, 'you are trying to keep me from realizing my full potential" "you are trying to rule over me, just like a man" "you are not in harmony with your inner essense" (mum), "You need to grow up and take responsibility for your life, we have a daughter" "Life isn't all about burning pretty things and blowing money on spiritualists and fortune tellers, we can't afford this" and "Why did I marry you? I should have just went and married that nice Esther from the church bake sale mum used to go on about" (dad)
After about the five millionth argument, her parents finally split. More accurately, her mum ditched them to go 'find herself' in Ireland, presumably because of the leylines, or the deep supernatural history or some rot.
This brought her dad around to some serious thinking. He buckled down, hired a sitter and began making great strides at work, motivated by wanting to give Bryony some stability. He rose in the ranks with record speed, eventually landing a great position that allowed him more flexible hours. He began participating more, going to her school assemblies, listening to her recite her lessons at night, and began scheduling annual vacations once they were on their feet. Eventually his bitterness towards Aurelia faded, and he allowed her to come around once in a while to see their daughter, though her efforts on this front were a bit lopsided and forgetful. He tried to compensate by being more attentive and buying her expensive things to make up for it, and encouraging her girly side, hoping she wouldn't feel the loss of a mother figure. Overall, Bryony shrugs her mum's absent mindedness off, and is glad her dad is such a great parent.

Anything else?
It was a beautiful, sunny day at Hogwarts, and classes were in session. So of course, Sirius Black was sitting by the lake, whistling to himself and skipping stones along the surface of the water. He was cutting class, which was no surprise, but he was also alone, and that was unusual. For once, he did not have his ever-present companions, James, Remus, and Peter by his side. But even alone, no one would think he was anything but confident and comfortable with himself.
He tossed another thin, flat rock, and watched as it skimmed the surface, bouncing once, twice, three times, before the Giant Squid, seemingly annoyed by the disturbance, reached out one long tentacle and pulled the stone into the water.
Sirius laughed to himself, then leaned back against the tree, allowing the warmth of the sun to relax him. He slowly began to drift, and had nearly dozed off when he heard a voice above him.
"You know...he probably wanted to nap, like you...You wouldn't want someone pelting your bed with rocks while you slept, would you?" a voice called from above.
Bryony had watched the little exchange with the squid, and wanted to tease the younger boy, just a little. After all, she wanted her fun too. Before he could object, she began to shake the branch next to the one she sat on, scattering leaves on the second year. She laughed a little as he jumped up and began shaking himself off.
She smiled and waved to show it was all in fun, her red jumper flashing among the greens and browns of her perch, her legs swinging freely over the side of the limb precariously. She reached into her pocket and pulled out some hastily wrapped sandwiches nicked from the kitchens on her way out.
"If you want to throw something in the lake next time, try something he might like," she continued and tossed half of a cheese toastie into the water. The surface rippled and the sandwich was snatched with the same speed as the rock had been a moment before. She began to eat the other half, and paused to throw the extra sandwich at Sirius before becoming absorbed in the cheesy goodness.
