  'The class was buzzing with the chatter of students as they entered the room and began greeting their friends. Professor Slughorn was seated at his desk, leaning back and nibbling on some crystallized pineapple. To all the world, it would have appeared that he was not paying attention to anything that was being said. Of course, that was not the case.
  
  Slughorn's finely tuned ear was listening for any interesting tidbits of information that might involve the influential parents of certain students. It must have been a slow news day, though, and he heard very little of interest. He waited a few minutes, trying to hear what the Black boy in the back of the room was saying to his friends. Finally, when he was satisfied that there was nothing to hear and that all the students were in the room, Slughorn sat up and looked around the room.
  
  "Now, then, students," he began, clearing his throat. "Can anyone tell me which parts of the dragon are used in potions? You there... do you know the answer?"'
