It had been a sad, stressful couple of weeks. Sedona had barely spoken to anyone in her family, though Mateo had stopped by a couple of days ago. She chose not to tell him that Marco had stopped by, as well.
She supposed she was fairing better than Gaby, though, who's leaving was worse than her own, especially right after her brother returned.
They were both working hard, getting clothes and jewelry set up and ready to display, as well as cleaning the place and getting it ready as a business. The apartment above was in disarray, as a result, but they would get there.
Gaby had gone out to get them take out, and Dona was taking a break from painting the window frames to sketch out a dress she had on her mind. Sighing, she ran a hand through her hair as she passed the time.

The shop was finally coming along nicely. Gabriella was pleased with the timing. In a couple of days the store would actually open. Ever since her father told her to leave, Gaby had yet to speak with her father at all. She didn't want to see him at the moment, and as things were going, she was doing pretty well. Of course, she never mentioned her family and she didn't think about it. She felt bad for leaving her mother, Dante, and Declin.
She hadn't seen Declin since she left. Part of her wasn't surprised, but part of her wondered why he hadn't come by. She could have very well scared him with the way she told him goodbye, but she had to let him know somehow. All of those thoughts, Gabriella pushed to the back of her mind. Those thoughts would do nothing but slow her down as she and Sedona put the finishing touches on their shop.
Takeout seemed like the best idea. Both girls were working hard in the store and they needed to go grocery shopping at some point. Walking down to the local small restaurant two blocks from the store, Gabriella ordered both her and Sedona something to eat. It was a perfect opportunity to clear her mind.
Arriving back at the store, she smiled as she entered the door. "I've got food," she said with a happy tone.

"Thank Merlin," Sedona exclaimed, dropping her pencil (she preferred them over quills) and threw her hands up. "I'm going crazy, Gaby," she added with a smile, as though to say yes, she knew she was being dramatic. It had been a long week though, and they still weren't quite ready to open shop yet. Communication with their respective families was lacking, naturally. If it weren't for the Santino girl, Sedona would feel very much alone. She missed her family, Mateo especially, more than she would admit to herself.
"This is stressful, no?" She sighed, coming over and taking the bags from Gaby. "What did we get this time?"

"A little stressful yes, but we'll be glad once we finish." Gabriella smiled. The idea of not seeing her mother or father was difficult. Her mother would see her, but Gabriella refused to go home because she knew that more than likely her father would be there. She didn't want to face him, especially after she left.
"I thought we could do with Chinese today. We haven't had that lately, so I thought it would be good." Usually her parents refused to eat out and Gabriella wanted to cook more often than she did but sometimes working in the store all day took too much energy and she didn't want to cook.
"I think we might be able to finish the rest of this within maybe a week, maybe a week and a half."
