Hayden had the day off and he already sent an owl to Liam telling him to meet him in Hogsmeade. It had been awhile since he really seen his brother and had been able to talk to him. The two were fairly close, or at least Hayden liked the think so. He wanted to be a little nosy and see how his siblings were doing at school.
Arriving in Hogsmeade before Liam, he waited at the entrance pathway for his brother. He wasn't exactly sure what they would end up doing for the day, but they would make it up as they went.

Liam never had a problem finding an excuse to leave for Hogsmeade. He was a good enough student, the quiet, non trouble making kind. So when he asked to slip out for a free period today, they let him. As the war escalated, he imagined this would come to an end, but it helped that he was meeting an Auror.
When he saw his brother, he nodded his greeting, a faint smile on his lips that was eerily reminescent of his brother. "everything okay?" he asked. It was always his first question these days.

Of course it would be Liam to ask to make sure everything was okay. For once, everything was okay. Maybe that was just for the time being, but Hayden would take it. "Surprisingly, yes. Everything is actually going pretty well." Hayden returned the smile to Liam.
He hugged his brother as he was closer. "You look pretty well. How is everything? Staying out of trouble," he said teasing his brother a little.

Liam nodded, almost approvingly. As long as Hayden said everything was okay, Liam believed it and he could relax a little. He hugged Hayden back, running his hand through his hair. It was a change, hearing in all honesty that everything was good. "Good," he replied.
The question, when turned back on him, made Liam shrug. "Yeah, loads of trouble making," he said with a hint of sarcasm, though it was in good humor. "Keeping Sheena out of trouble, really. We're fine, though."

Hayden laughed. He didn't really have to worry about Liam doing anything drastic or getting into too much trouble. Sheena, well she was a teenage girl. What could one expect from them but maybe to get into a little trouble? The same went for Liam, but it seemed almost as if Liam wasn't a typical teenager. He seemed older than he really was.
"That's not really surprising," he said in a light teasing manner. "I'm glad everything is good however. No boys have gotten a black eye, or hexed yet for coming after Sheena I imagine?" He smiled. It was nice to hear that everything was going well for his siblings.
He enjoyed joking with Liam when things were going well. "Any girls of interest coming your way?"

"No girls," Liam confirmed, though his mind did flash to that day he helped a strawberry blonde out of that tricky stair. He kind of liked her, but he hadn't seen her since, and it likely wasn't in a romantic way, either. Liam didn't get as girl crazy as some of the boys his age and older. He was following well in Hayden's footsteps, caring more about his family and watching out for Sheena.
"And no black eyes. Just lots of... school." He gave Hayden a look, as if to say that you couldn't really escape the school work, or the fact you were in school. It was quite a large part of his life. But for the hell of it, he turned the question back on his brother, though he was pretty sure he knew what the answer would be. "Any girls for you?"

"School work does take up a lot of your time, I know," he said. "Just try to have a little fun while you're here. School work is important, but spend some time away from the books for a little bit." Hayden remembered being in his books most of the time. Had it not been for Damon, Sean, and T during school, he would have been in the books a lot more than what he was.
Hayden wasn't really expecting Liam to turn the question back on him. "Uh," he started as he scratched the back of his neck. "Sort of." It was a situation he didn't know exactly how to explain. Naturally he told Liam everything. "There is a girl, but don't go tell mum about it. I haven't figured out the whole situation myself yet."
