Character Name: Bootes (pronounced Boo-oh-tis, but no one ever gets it right, so he goes by Boots) Rene Sampson

Personality: For those who get him talking, Bootes can be laid back, easy going, and laughs easily. When he's in a good mood, he loves to laugh and keep those around him laughing. When he's in "bouncer" mode, he is threatening, unrelenting, brooding. His size helps perpetuate this view of him, and he doesn't do anything to stop this. In fact, he postures with the best of them. He will fight for anything he believes in, or for anyone who means something to him. And trust me- if you get him in a physical fight, you will not win.

History:
Bootes doesn't have a very complicated past. His childhood was normal... well, except for the magic, that is. He was born in Hawaii just a few years before it became an official state of the US. His father had been a delegate from the states to Hawaii, where he met Moana, fell wildly in love, and married. 9 months later, their first child was born.
They traveled constantly, so that Bootes had a tutor wherever they were. Lawrence served as an ambassador to many places on a short term basis, usually as an aide to the official ambassador. When Bootes was 6, his sister was born, and they were instantly connected at the hip. He was fascinated by the baby girl, and stuck by her side. As they both grew older, he became more of a best friend to her than a brother, and until she turned 15, he was fiercely protective. He's still protective of her now, but he keeps it under control because he doesn't want her to rebel.
Whenever Bootes strayed off the straight and narrow, it was his sister who pulled him back.
Both he and his sister, born to muggles, showed magical abilities early on in life. Unfortunately, due to Lawrence's job, they were in and out of every magical school there was. Somehow, he managed to graduate from Durmstrang, and Pyxis is finishing her schooling at Hogwarts.
He was 17 when mother was killed unexpectedly in a muggle accident. The family was in England, and he had just celebrated his birthday.
His father fell apart. He quit his job with the American government and bought a house in England. "It was the last place she was... I can't leave." Bootes stayed to watch after him. He started picking up odd jobs, and found an outlet through music.
He has gigs on a fairly regular basis, and even a fan base, but he's nowhere near the celebrity of the Wrackspurts or any band like that.
