Chase never had any intention of stepping in for Kieran. Not unless it looked like he needed or wanted the help. The kid still had issues, but Chase couldn't even blame him for that. That little girl he was close to was still missing, not to mention everything else he still had weighing heavily on him. But he was still a capable healer, and being babysat was the last thing he needed.
He just wished Kieran's best clarity wasn't on a creature that could have easily killed them all. He tried not to let himself be fooled into thinking that it was tame and had given up by now, but it was hard, watching it.
He cast a glance at Galen, and then smiled at Kieran. "Well done."
He watched for a second, and then added, "Tell her she can heal herself now."
But his mind was racing over everything they may still need to do with her, if she couldn't heal herself and they had to sew her up, he was stepping in for that. Kieran could use a break. And then, what to do with it once they were done. "I think we all deserve a raise after this," he murmured.

"Oh, you know that's right," Darryl said, speaking for the first time since he'd been thrown backwards. "I definitely don't get paid enough for this."
And yet, he wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else. It was a tense, nerve-wracking situation, but it had been exciting, at least. Who else would be able to say that they had worked on a vampire? And he had the bruises to show for it. Right now, he felt fine, but he was sure he would be sore later.
Although the vampire hadn't moved in a while, Darryl still held on to her, and exchanged a glance with Angelique, letting her know she might need to be ready to cast another body-binding spell.

Kryshna heard and understood every word they said, even though they seemed to think that she wouldn’t. She stopped focusing on slowing down her regeneration and the wound quickly began closing up. She closed her eyes while this was happened, until she heard what Darryl had to say about the situation.
Her eyes barely opened into only slight slits. Her head was still facing the other direction, towards Kieran, but she was looking out the corner of her eyes at the man that had spoken about his pay. Something triggered in her. She just wanted to mess with this guy. She could feel his hands on her, trying to hold her down. Even with the straps on her, if she really wanted to break out, would not have been enough to hold her down. So, she decided to do it, to mess with this guy.
Quietly, she remained completely still for another moment before very suddenly moving towards Darryl with a quick growl and bearing her teeth, letting her eyes slip back into that feral look. She made eye contact with him, glaring at him for just one second, just to scare him a bit, before lying back down.
She looked up at Chase, who was at her head. Her eyes were back to being human looking and seemed to have a glint of enjoyment out of scaring Darryl. It was not meant maliciously. Just like a dog who suddenly barks at a cat just to scare them.

If she intended to scare Darryl, then she was successful. When she growled at him, he jumped backward, letting go of her and making a sort of cross symbol with his fingers. Then he looked back at the auror, signalling that she should cast the body bind spell once again, just to be safe.
"Man, I'll be glad to get out of here," he said. "What are we supposed to do with her, anyway? We can't... keep her here, can we? Why'd we even bother saving it?"
It wasn't that he lacked compassion, but clearly the vampire was dangerous, and having her here put everyone in danger. Wouldn't it have been better to just kill it?

Angelique had cast the spell when Darryl gave the signal. The truth was, she questioned the wisdom of keeping the creature alive just as much as anyone else, but the practical side of her knew that it was the right thing to do.
"The German wants her alive. Come to think of it, I do, too. She could have information that we need about death eater activity. I know it's inconvenient and dangerous to keep her here, and you all did a really good job treating her. Not many would have, so I do appreciate what you've done. I don't know what we'll end up doing with her... you're going to have to talk to Rutger about that. It's his case, so it's his call."

Since moving her from the bed to change the sheets wasn't really an option, Kieran focused on using cleaning spells to clean them. As he did this, he barely heard the others talking, even when Kryshna growled at Darryl and he jumped back in fear. His mind was on the odd look in the vampire's eyes as she watched him work. It was unnerving enough to have a patient watch as he performed surgery on her... but when that patient was a vampire that could kill him without a second thought... well, it was downright scary. And yet, Kieran wasn't scared.
He was quiet as he finished cleaning up. The vampire had bled quite a bit, and the sheets were nearly soaked through. If she had been human, they'd be giving her a blood transfusion or a blood replenishing potion right now... if she had even survived the surgery. She wasn't human... but he couldn't help but wonder if she still needed blood.
Looking up at Chase, he made a face. "Um... do you think we should give her blood? To... drink?" It was a horrifying thought, and he couldn't help the shudder that ran through him.

Chase was on edge as it was, and he was watching the vampire's every move. When her eyes shifted to Darryl, Chase made a noise low in his throat. "Ms St Claire..."
He wasn't quick enough, and it lashed out at Darryl/ Chase panicked. Whatever the German Aurors wanted, this vampire was not worth any of these employees lives, and he didn't know that he could trust the vampire. He had to air on the side of caution.
But when it looked at him, he understood. She was playing. He shook his head. "Not funny."
He started to peel his blood slicked gloves off, ready to grab another pair, when Kieran spoke up, and without hesitation, he said, "No. Our supplies are low as it is, and I cannot risk... No. I can't do it."
He glanced at Galen, looking for any kind of back up here. He wasn't trying to be heartless, he was trying to do what was in the best interest for the patients here who hadn't attacked anyone tonight.

Galen nodded his agreement. "Yeah... not a good idea," he said. "If we give her blood, it will only make her stronger... and that's the last thing we need right now. We can barely contain her as it is."
His gaze shifted to Kieran again. Somehow it didn't surprise him that he was the one who suggested that. Darryl, he was pretty sure, would be more in favor of staking the creature then and there. Chase and Galen were somewhere in the middle. It seemed a bad idea to keep her here... but he did understand why it was important to keep the vampire alive. For now.
"Darryl's right, though, we should get out of here before she comes out of the body bind again. We should check with the German auror and see what he wants us to do."

"Good idea," Angelique spoke up. "Chase, why don't you and I go talk to him? We should probably let him know about her condition, and see what he wants to do from here. For now, we'll keep her restrained and the room locked. And there should be a guard outside the room, I think. I'll call in and see if I can get some MLE officers to stand guard, but until then, I think it would be best kept between us..."
She looked at each of the Healers in turn and her gaze settled on Galen. He looked strong, and he didn't seem afraid of or intrigued by the vampire. "Would you stand guard for a little while? Just until I figure out the guard situation and have time to call in a few MLE officers."
When Galen nodded his assent, Angelique let out a sigh. She was actually less worried that the creature would get out than that someone might try and get her out. "The rest of you can take a break. You did a good job."
Casting one more body bind spell, just for good measure, Angelique headed for the door.

(Pardon me while I godmod my own characters, lol)
Darryl and Galen seemed eager enough to follow the auror out of the room, but Kieran lingered a little longer, making a business of cleaning up the last of the equipment and moving everything out of the creature's potential reach. His eyes kept flitting over to the vampire, a little more than they probably should have. Yes, he was well aware that she was dangerous, and he wasn't fooled into thinking she was human in any way. And yet there was something there... something that fascinated him just a little. There was a living being in there... maybe she didn't have a soul, but yet he had seen her suffering. It was odd to think that even monsters could suffer.
Once he had gathered up the last of the equipment, he moved past her, looking down at her one more time. He still felt like she needed blood. If they didn't give it to her, would she starve? Would she die? He couldn't explain why he should care... but they had worked so hard to save her that it somehow seemed wrong to let her starve. A thought crossed his mind... a crazy thought... and he quickly pushed it aside. Frowning, he shook his head at the creature, then followed the others out of the room.

Chase was hesitant to leave the room. What if the creature escaped, and overpowered Galen? Still, it had to be done.
"Galen, listen. Do not open that door, no matter what happens. Even if he body binding wears off, you do not open that door until either myself or Ms. St. Claire comes back." He did not want Galen alone with that creature.
Finally, he let his shoulders drop. "Gentlemen... Angelique. As always, I'm proud to work alongside you. You all did well today."
He kept an eye on Kieran, and glanced briefly at Galen, another silent warning not to open the door.
He finally nodded at Angelique that he was ready to go update the German Auror on what was going on.
