ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER
Character Name: Richard Jeremiah Lucas
Character Age: 21
Appearance:
- Brief Description: Richard, or Richie as he is sometimes called, has straight dark blonde hair cut fairly short. Usually he combs it flat, so that he has "bangs" that cover his forehead, but sometimes he wears it messy so that it sticks up in places. He's a good-looking kid, and judging by his roaming eye and wicked smile, he knows it.
- Eye Color: blue
- Hair (color, length, style): dark blonde, straight, fairly short
- Skin Tone: white, slightly tan
- Height: 6'
- Body Type: fit, muscular, but not excessively so
Celebrity Claim (make sure you post in the Celebrity Claim list as well, and make sure your chosen celebrity is available): Bradley James
Profession: Currently unemployed, but open to the possibilities.
Strengths:
- Women
- Open-minded
- Easygoing
- Makes friends easily
- Good with kids and animals
- Athletic, energetic (he's not lazy)
- Fearless (or thinks he is, anyway)
Weaknesses:
- Women (yes, they count in both places)
- Bad with money
- Likes to gamble
- Sometimes is reckless
- Sometimes too trusting (especially with women)
- Has bad eating habits (he likes junk food)
- Can be irresponsible--tends to forget things like paying bills until the last minute
Personality: It would be fair to say that nothing really seems to bother Richard. He's just breezing along through life, taking it as it comes. He likes to flirt with women, he enjoys gambling and drinking, and just generally having a good time. Unfortunately, he's so easy-going that it sometimes gets him into trouble. He's too trusting, and sometimes gets scammed or used. And while he likes gambling, he's not actually very good at it, so he tends to lose more often than he wins. He likes taking risks, and has a tendency to be rather reckless and foolish. And when it's time to take responsibility for something, he tends to duck out of it, promising to do it "later." As a result, he's often broke, but it never seems to bother him. For just as often as he gets taken by someone, he "takes" someone else. After all, with his genial smile and unaffected charms, who can resist helping him out? He doesn't even realize he's doing it, which only makes him more effective at it.
In short, this boy needs someone to reign him in and keep him out of trouble. But what fun would that be?
Family
- Mother: Darlene, deceased
- Father: Richard, Sr., 47
- Siblings (if any, list names and ages): none
- Other family members (if significant): Grandparents, deceased
History: Richard was born in Cornwall, England. His parents weren't married at the time of his birth, and Darlene died soon after having the baby. Richard, Sr. was a drifter and wanderer, who never stuck around one place long enough to settle down. Even knowing he had a son wasn't enough to keep him in place. So young Richard went to live with his mother's parents.
He had a pleasant enough childhood, even if his grandparents were too old to keep up with the energetic young boy. They also didn't discipline him enough, so he became kind of careless and irresponsible. But he was just so sweet about it that they couldn't seem to be angry with him.
He received his Hogwarts letter at 11, like any other future wizard. It came as a surprise, of course, since his grandparents didn't know that there was such a thing as magic. Whether his father possessed magical powers was unknown at the time, but it was assumed that his abilities had been passed down to the boy. Eventually, his grandparents were persuaded to allow Richard to attend Hogwarts, and off he went.
He was sorted into Hufflepuff, and quickly became one of that house's most popular students. He got into trouble often, but the teachers still adored him. He played Keeper for the Hufflepuff quidditch team for five years, two years as its captain, and they won the Quidditch cup three years in a row. All in all, things looked very promising for his future, which he hoped would involve professional quidditch.
In fact, after graduation, he was drafted by the Chudley Cannons. He played for only a year, however, when he was struck in the head by a bludger in a match and knocked out cold. The severe concussion he received as a result of this incident left him with a ringing in his ears, and a severe case of vertigo that prevents him from flying. He had no choice but to retire early.
Now he is out of work and trying to figure out what he's going to do next....
Anything else? Lol. I just totally threw this character together....
