Character Name: Rylan Brayden O’Sullivan
Year: Doesn’t go to actual school. He gets tutoring at the Orphanage. He is 13 now.

- Brief Description: Rylan is a little on the shorter side of his age. His red hair is sometimes brushed, sometimes not. He just wears whatever he can that doesn’t have a lot of holes in it. Also, he hasn’t quite hit his growth spurt yet.

Personality: Rylan is one of those shy, quiet kids. There are sometimes when he can get somewhat loud, but that is only on occasion. He always does everything that is asked of him, without question. He likes to be a people pleaser, even if that doesn’t make him happy. For a young child, Rylan could be considered a little more mature for his age than others. However, he does still have his childish ways. He is always willing to do things for people, and he’ll also get flowers for a few girls that live in the Orphanage with him.
Most of the time, Rylan is one of the most honest children anyone would ever meet. However, he does have moments when he pushes away from people, especially if he had been picked on or slightly bullied. Rylan doesn’t let anyone know about that, because he doesn’t want to continuously get people into trouble. Although Rylan doesn’t tell it all, he can hold his own when he has been pushed too far. He will not hesitate to fight back when he needs to.

History: Rylan has been at the Orphanage in London ever since he was a baby. He, like several other children, had been dropped off on the doorstep as they were babies. Rylan never knew who his mother was, but growing up in the Orphanage, it didn’t matter. Sure, children would always get adopted, but sometimes Rylan felt like he wasn’t going to ever find a family. He had seen families together. He saw the way that the parents would look at their children and that sort of thing. Rylan always felt that he would never get the chance to feel like he belonged in a family. Of course Ms. Elvington was really nice and so was Carley, but that was different. Although Rylan did look at the both of them as motherly figures, he couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like if he were in a real family.
He had been too young to really understand what was going on. Rylan had even gone through the stage of thinking that his real mother didn’t want anything to do with him. After all, he never got the chance to meet her. Whatever happened to her? Could she really not take care of him, or did she just not love him enough?
Those questions ran through Rylan’s mind a lot, but thankfully he had other children at the Orphanage to play with. He learned the manners he needed to, as well as how to read and write. Rylan became a sweetheart. He would go pick flowers every once in awhile and give them to Ms. Elvington, Carley, or one of the other girls at the Orphanage. The children he grew up made things a lot better. Rylan soon forgot about wondering about his real mother. Now, he’s just running around and attempting to be the child he should be. Of course, there are a few issues. Rylan doesn’t really fight back at first. He has to be continuously pushed before he lashes out.
