Linette was uncomfortable with this the moment it came ito her head. She didn’t like the idea of keeping secrets from one of her sisters, especially with another one of her sisters. But both Callie and herself knew Bobby better than anyone else, and her romances were headed to a dark and twisty place (namely, Rabastan) and Linette was worried.
She knew that if anyone would talk sence into Bobby, it would have to be Callie and herself, she’d listen to no one else and if they couldn’t get through to her, well no one would be able to. So Linette sat in the kitchens at two o’clock on a Sunday morning, drinking hot chocolate and waiting paitently for Callie to sneak out of their dormitory and meet her for an emergency Triplet meeting. (minus one…)

(Should I assume this is after the carnival?)
Callie thought it was a little extreme for Linny to propose this meeting at 2 in the morning. She understood that they didn't want Bobby to catch them having a meeting behind her back, but it wasn't like Bobby was spending a lot of time around them these days. And that was the problem. Bobby was angry with them, and she was spending too much time with Rabastan Lestrange.
She was supposed to fake being asleep, but she had accidentally fallen asleep for real, and almost didn't wake up in time to meet Linny. Luckily, she did, but she was pretty fuzzy. This was a bad thing, because when Callie was tired, she sometimes got clumsy.
She sat up in bed and blinked in the darkness, trying to get her eyes to adjust. Looking around the crowded 6th year girls' dormitory, she could see that Linny's bed was already empty. Which meant that Callie was running late.
As quietly as possible, Callie peeled back the covers and slid out of bed. But she barely made it three steps before she nearly tripped over one of her own shoes. Oh, right. Shoes. Not a good idea to wander around this damp old castle without shoes on.
After hastily shoving a pair of sneakers on her feet, Callie made her way out of the room and down the stairs without incident. The common room was empty, and the halls outside seemed deserted, so she just had to make sure she was stealthy enough to avoid Fiich and the various portraits and suits of armor along the way.
By the time she arrived in the kitchen, she was mostly awake, but the bright lights of the kitchen seemed to rip her eyes open. She blinked wildly for a few minutes until her eyes adjusted to the light, then spotted Linette sitting at a little table, sipping hot chocolate.
"I'll have what she's having," she murmured to the house elf who approached her. Then she dropped into a seat across from her sister.
"Only you could still look fabulous at 2 in the morning," she mumbled.

Linette took the compliment with a smile and added "you slept in," knowing full well she did. "Sorry we had to do this so early, but I didn't want to risk Bobby knowing we were having secret meetings with out her..." Linette felt awful about it, she did, but it would all be worth it in the end to know that Bobby wasn't going to get hurt.
She waited for Callie to wake up a little and get her hot chocolate from the elves. Then she went into business mode. "Alright, so you know why I called this meeting," Linette said, folding her hands on the table.

Callie took a few sips of hot chocolate, letting the warmth and sweetness slowly wake her up. When Linette went into her business mode, which Callie used to tease her about, she looked up sharply.
"Yeah, Bobby and that... that... thing she's been hanging around with," she said fiercely. She was fully awake now; there was nothing like the thoughts of her sister hanging around Rabastan Lestrange to get Callie's blood pumping.
"Seriously, can't I just hex him? Please? I'd love to 'accidentally' spill some shrinking solution in his lap...."

Though Linette didn't approve much of Callie's aggressive tactics, the shrinking plan did make her snort into her cocoa. "As much fun as that would be, I have the feeling Bobby would get upset with us for that..." Linette shook his head.
"And my ultimate goal, really, is to have Bobby NOT be mad at us anymore..." she frowned a little and drummed her manicured nails on the table like she did when she had a lot on her mind. She and her sisters had never really feuded like this before.
"Rabastan is our bigest problem though, I agree." She knew him. If Rab was doing anythign with Bobby, he was planting it deeper in thier sister's head that she didn't need Linette and Callie anymore, and that just wasn't the case.

Callie sighed into her hot chocolate. She hated fighting with Bobby. She was usually closer to Bobby than to Linette, but lately... Bobby seemed so distant from them. It hurt, honestly. She had so many things she wanted to tell Bobby.
For the first time in her life, Callie thought she might be falling in love. Dierks was a perfect gentleman, but he was never pretentious about it. He was just open, honest, and sweet, and Callie liked being with him. Even though he hadn't kissed her yet, she felt like it was only a matter of time. And Callie wanted to be able to tell her sister about this; to share that experience with both of her sisters. Instead, she hadn't said a word to Linny, either, keeping her secret locked up inside until she felt like she was about to burst.
"OK, so what do we do?" she said, her voice taking on a determined tone. She was not losing Bobby to Rabastan Lestrange. "Look, you dated him... do you know any way we can turn him off of Bobby? Or should we try and get him interested in another girl? I suppose it's too much to hope that you can reason with him..."

"He wouldn't listen to me," Linette said with a sigh. "He didn't listen when we were dating, he's definitely not going to now." She stirred her drink thoughtfully. "Sadly, the reason we broke up was because someone more interesting came along and I got bumped to second place," Linette looked up at her sister. "I don't know if I could purposly break Bobby's heart though Cal..."

Callie sighed into her hot chocolate. Linny was right, but that didn't make this any less frustrating. It was like watching a car accident in slow-motion; they knew what was probably going to happen, but but they were powerless to stop it. "What are we supposed to do, then? Wait until Rabastan does it on his own?"
Some strategy session this was turning out to be. They couldn't reason with Bobby, they couldn't murder Rabastan and feed his body to the Giant Squid... what were they supposed to do?
"Can't I just hex him? Please? He's going to hurt her, Linny... She doesn't deserve that. Maybe... maybe we can find some other boy that likes her and get him to at least give Rabastan some competition? I know that Ravenclaw kid likes her..."
