Nick sat on one of the benches in the courtyard flipping through his transfiguration book, not really reading the pages, but more-so watching the doors to the castle.
Was this stalkerish? Nick thought as he looked up again at the door. Maybe he should just go inside. He had a better chance of running into her in the common room anyway, didn't he? He didn't need to just wait around idly, waiting for her to show up somewhere... maybe he could go look for her? Was THAT stalkerish?
"I give up," Nick groaned to himself. He'd go in the common room. And if he didn't run into her, well...there was always dinner. Nick shook his head and shoved his book in his bag before heading into the castle. But when he was on the first step before reaching the door, it swung open, and Nick had to keep himself from laughing at the irony.
"Roxanna!"

Roxanna sighed, looking around the common room. She wanted to go outside and just walk around, people-watch, instead of being inside studying for a Potions test. Normally she wouldn't devote so much time to it, but with other students talking about another test coming up soon, she figured she should at least skim over the chapter.
But it was April and it was getting warmer, something Roxanna always looked forward to. She loved winter but after a while she got tired of it, and wanted the cold and snow to go away. With a final glance at her book, she snapped it shut and stood up, looking around the room once more to see if any of her friends, more importantly Nick, was in the room. Seeing no one, she left by herself.
Roxanna opened the door to the courtyard quickly, almost hitting Nick in the process. "I didn't hit you, did I? Oh Merlin, I'm so sorry Nick!" She said, her hands going up to her mouth in surprise. He startled her a bit, since she wasn't expected anyone to be there.

“What oh…” he looked to the door. “No, uh…no, you didn’t hit me,” Nick suddenly was feeling really foolish. He didn’t know what to say, what to think. Looking at Roxanna just made him stutter and lose all normal motor skills.
“What are you up to outside?” Nick asked. “Well, no, not that you should be inside, its nice out here now…” he pointed over his shoulder to the sky. Great, he was blubbering on about the bloody weather.
Nick stepped aside and let her outside, closing the door behind him. “I was waiting…no! Looking. I was looking for you…here. Um, in the courtyard…Not that I was waiting, cause that would be creepy, wouldn’t it? Maybe not, I don’t know. Where were you? Not that I care! Well I do…did, cause I asked, but just wondering…ugh, ah! So the sun’s out today.” Nick seriously considered turning and letting the next person walking through the door whack him in the head with it. He sounded stupid.
