Sophia had been floating on air ever since the dance. She didn't honestly know how to handle the attention she was receiving except she knew that she enjoyed it. In her mother's day her mom could have married anyone she wanted, she had the title and the money to do so, and yet she chose Sophia's father and they had been happily married since. That gave Sophia a moment's pause, just because she was receiving attention now didn't mean that she could neglect her studies. Her mother was supposed to marry for status and never work a day of her life, but Sophia wanted to work, she wanted a life of independence, and she couldn't spend all her time with her head in the clouds if that were the case.
She was so caught up in her thoughts that a frown marred her features, she also hadn't even noticed the large frame blocking the light.

Ivan had learned that if he ever wanted to find Sophie, all he had to do was look in the library. He had been feeling similarly cheerful ever since the dance, although, of course, with him it was quite a bit more subtle. The way he had been raised, he was taught to be serious most of the time, so smiles were rare on his face. But upon seeing her, all that changed.
She made him feel... lighter somehow... like he'd been carrying something heavy on his shoulders, but he had dropped it now, leaving him free.
Of course, since his guardian, Arachne, was spending a lot of time at the school for her assignment, Ivan had to be subtle. Arachne would not approve of him mooning about like a stupid schoolboy. So he made sure to check on her whereabouts before he went to look for Sophie.
There she was, sitting in a corner of the library, as he expected. What was unexpected, however, was the fact that she was not reading. She had a book open in front of her, but she didn't appear to be reading it. Instead, she seemed lost in thought, a light frown creasing her lovely face.
"Good afternoon," he greeted her in his low, quiet voice. "I trust you are well, Miss Sophia?"

She sensed him almost immediately and his voice sent shivers down her spine but at the same time soothed her at once. "How do you always know how to find me?" she asked shaking her head putting a bookmark in her book and setting it asside.
She took a glance around then chuckled, " I suppose I make it rather easy don't I?"

Ivan chuckled, a low rumbly sound deep in his throat. Yes, she was easy to find, but he didn't see anything wrong with that. She liked books, she liked reading... There were worse things she could be doing with her time. He found her love of books endearing, especially since he happened to share it with her.
"Yes," he admitted. "I was looking for you, and the library was the first place I thought to look. I would have been very shocked if you were not here."
He tried to slip quietly into the seat right next to her, but the space was a little tighter than he'd realized, and he nearly lost his balance, knocking over the chair in the process.
"Forgive me," he apologized. "Sometimes I don't know my own strength."

She chuckled, she wasn't laughing at him, but she found him utterly adorable. He was so large, fit but large, and she was so tiny in comparison.
"That's alright I knock things over all the time." she looked from side to side then leaned in as if telling him a secret, "I'm actually very klutzy." she whispered as if he didn't know that.
"So what were you looking for me for?"

Ivan actually felt a bit foolish, but it helped that she didn't seem to mind. Even when she laughed, he didn't feel like she was laughing at him. Besides, her laughter made his heart beat a little faster, and he found himself smiling as well.
"Klut...zy?" he repeated in his thick accent. "What is klutzy? I do not know that word."
When she asked why he was looking for her, he felt his cheeks and ears grow warm. He actually hadn't had a reason to look for her, and had rather hoped he would come up with one when he saw her. Instead, however, he decided to answer honestly. "I... I just wanted to see your face."

"Let's just say it means that I'm less than graceful on a good day." she smiled then turned and offered him the seat he had knocked over holding it sturdy so it wouldn't fall again.
Her cheeks grew warm when he mentioned his reasoning for seeing her. " Every girl should have someone tell her that at least once in their life..." she lowered her eyes, " Thank you."
It was like something out of a story book and it made her feel quite good about herself.

Ivan chuckled at her explanation. Yes, he sometimes was not very graceful. OK, actually most of the time he was not very graceful. His sister sometimes joked that he moved like an elephant in a china shop--just kind of lumbering along, ramming anything in its path. He still had yet to adjust to his growth spurts, and often forgot how big he really was. And yet when he was on a broomstick, he seemed to fly as smoothly and easily as an eagle. He often thought that he belonged in the air, and not on the ground.
"Ah, yes. Well, then, I guess I am rather... klutzy. It is another thing we have in common."
He liked the way her cheeks brightened at his comment, and his smile brightened. "You are welcome." He wasn't sure what else to say, so he glanced down at the books in front of her. "What are you studying today? Can I help?"

"I'm not studying actually." she smiled, "Just reading. But maybe we could go for a walk instead?" she asked taking the initiative. She was after all enjoying her newfound boldness.
Then as if reverting to form, " That is if you're not busy."

Ivan smiled at her. He liked when she got embarrassed and shy; it reminded him of himself. He often felt awkward and uncertain of himself, and it helped to know that he wasn't the only one.
"I am not busy," he assured her. "A walk sounds good... the weather is very nice today. We could walk down by the lake."
He had already checked on his sister earlier, and she was safe in her common room. Other than his classes, she was his only other responsibility. But he couldn't be with her constantly, especially since they were in different houses.
