Milo knew exactly what it was like to be so close to graduating and just wanting to be out. It really hit him in February that he only had a few months of school left, but he knew what he had wanted to do once he was out. It would have been tougher on him if he was just living with his mom and moping around the house until he found a job.
Seeing Daphne in that position upset him a bit. He had cared for her, and wanted her to be happy with where she would go in life but in order for that to happen, she would have to find a job she enjoyed. Milo just wished he had gone through what she was so he could help her more.
"Finishing all your work before breaking the rules? Yeah, you sound like a Hufflepuff alright, hardworking and all." He teased. For him, sneaking away meant freedom from all work and leaving it until Sunday, when he was sitting by the fire in the common room trying to finish an essay before it was due.
"I'm sure you'll figure it out soon. There has to be something you really want to do, something that really, really interests you." Milo said. He always loved his magical creatures class, so a job dealing with them in any respect was a given for Milo.

"Yeah, I suppose so," she said putting on a smile. She was pretty sure Helga Hufflepuff would not be proud of her at the moment, and probably worst of all, neither would the person sitting in front of her.
"I don't think I've really had a chance to stop and think about it. It seems like every time I have a moment to stop and seriously think about it, something else presents itself and I can't think about anything else." That was her problem. She was far too nice and Daphne wanted to desperately say no, but she hated to disappoint others.
"But I promise to figure it out before graduation." Daphne smiled again. She was good at keeping a level head in a time of stress. "Speaking of graduation, we should go celebrate afterward. I have no idea what exactly we could do, because granted I still have a little while, but we should celebrate some way."

Milo brightened up at the thought of throwing her a party. Milo never had a graduation party, just a small gathering of family at his mother's house. She had cooked for it, so Milo didn't consider it a party; all his other friends had gone out for dinner, or had someone cook for them. Milo didn't mind his mother's cooking; he loved it and knew they couldn't afford anything else.
"A party will be in order." He said with a smile. He just had to figure out what to do. He had some money saved away in case anything important came up, but he wouldn't mind buying some party favors and a bit of food. Maybe he would even take her out to dinner, if he had enough. Most of what he earned went to his mother so she could continue to take care of the house.
"Is there anything you had in mind? Nothing's off limits. What do you want to do?" Milo asked.
