Personality (At least 4 sentences, but longer is preferred): Vicki can be a tough girl to keep up with. She has a lot of energy and enthusiasm and is seldom ever seen in a bad mood. But she does have her serious side; she just hides it well. She is passionate about her job, and is fiercely loyal to anyone she considers a friend. She's also the kind of girl who will gladly help a stranger in need, and has been known to rescue lost kittens off the street. She has a big heart and doesn't hesitate to share it with the world.
But she can also be very stubborn and opinionated. She's not a girl you want to get in an argument with, because she can get quite upset and will fiercely argue her point until most people end up just giving up, even if they happen to be right.
It can be easy to underestimate her on the job. Surely someone who seems so bubbly and innocent couldn't take her job seriously. But she can kick some serious butt when she wants to, having been trained in the martial arts when she younger. And she has keen observation skills, which are very helpful when on the job.
Magically, she sometimes has trouble remembering spells, particularly charms, and this can cause some problems on the job. She will occasionally forget a charm and say something similar, badly botching the spells. This is something she is trying to work on.
History (At least 4 sentences):Vicki was born in a small town in Southern England to a pureblood mother and a muggleborn father. Both of them came from fairly wealthy families, and her mother was a healer at St. Mungo's, while her father worked for the Ministry, so for a time, Vicki seemed to have it all. But when she was 5, both of her parents were killed in a freak explosion when a potion her mother was brewing exploded. Vicki, asleep upstairs, was unharmed.
She went to live with her Aunt Ermentrude, her aunt on her mother's side. Ermentrude was an eccentric witch who ran a newspaper that was the early precursor to the Quibbler, and she had been married 4 times already, but had no children of her own.
Vicki was constantly fussed over and given anything she wanted, but Ermentrude also tried to teach the girl a sense of responsibility. She wanted Vicki to make something of herself, not just be a spoiled rich girl.
When Vicki started Hogwarts, she was sorted into Gryffindor. She was a very popular girl, always flirting with the boys and making friends with the girls. She did have one enemy, though, a Slytherin girl named Jeanette Barlow. They fought often, playing nasty tricks on each other and causing trouble for each other. Vicki had lots of detentions because of this. In her 5th year, she found out why the girl hated her so much.
When Vicki's parents had been alive, Vicki's father had been instrumental in the capture and conviction of Jeanette's father for using dark magic against muggles. Mr. Barlow had been sent to Azkaban, and died there. Mrs. Barlow, who worked in an apothecary's shop, devastated by her husband's death, had sought revenge against Vicki's father... by selling Vicki's mother tainted potion ingredients. The tragic accident that had taken Vicki's parents was not, in fact, an accident at all.
Because of this, Vicki was furious and challenged Jeanette to a duel... but then was talked out of it by her best friend. Jeanette then went after Vicki and actually struck her with a Cruciatus curse (it was a weak one, because the girl was so young and didn't really know how to use Unforgivables), and Vicki wound up in the hospital wing for a week. Jeanette was expelled.
After this, Vicki made up her mind that she was going to spend her life going after Dark Wizards. Initially, she intended to be an auror, but she never was able to get her grades up well enough. Instead, she decided to go into the Department for Magical Law Enforcement, where she felt she could do just as much good.
But after graduation, Vicki decided that she wanted to take some time off to just experience life. She went on a two-year trip all across Europe (she had the money to do it, after all). She has only just returned in the last few months and completed a training course for the MLE. Now she's ready to start work in the department.
RP Sample (At least 4 sentences, must be as the character. Pretend it's your first post): It occurred to me that, although we have tons of female aurors, the MLE is a rather male-oriented department. I think she'll be fun to play with....
