Defense Against the Dark Arts was usually Niela’s favorite class to be in. When the professor had hands on class, it was the best in the school. Practicing on Grindylows and ghouls were always fun, and occasionally going against a Pogrebin. She always enjoyed heading up to class to see what fun new thing she would be up against in class.
This was not one of those classes though. The normal DADA professor had been bitten by a Firecrab he had been bringing into class and had to go to the hospital wing for the day. The class was left with a substitute instead. And the entire class, the sub had them doing was reading and taking notes. This was very boring to Niela. So when the class was finally over, she was one of the first to evacuate the classroom.
Having a free period next, she quickly made her way to the end of the corridor to head down into the castle ground. It was raining today and she wanted to go to her favorite place by the lake, sheltered by a tree, and relax out there. Her mind was already out under that tree when she turned the corner into the next corridor, running straight into the last person she wanted to see.

Aiden was in an abnormally good mood today. It was raining, and that was his favorite type of weather. The only thing that was bringing him down was the fact he just got out of his Transfiguration class, of which he skipped half of. The only reason he went to half of it was because he was caught trying to get into the Slytherin common room. He was given detention for a couple of days, but that was nothing he wouldn’t laugh off.
Now, he was headed to the spot he and his friends usually met by after class so they could get into the common room together and boss the younger students around to get them this and that or to move so Aiden and his friends could sit down. He was already planning on what his friends and he should do when he ran right into his favorite girl to torment.
“Ah, what do we have here, then? The wee little lass?” Aiden said, mocking an Irish accent. He wasn’t very good at it, but it was his way of annoying her, and one of his favorites.

Niela backed up so her back was against the wall. A defensive mechanism from her many times of running into him then turning around to find one of his goons right behind her. But it was an obvious tactic that gave away that he had bothered her. But still, she stood her ground, looking up at him, defiance in her eyes.
Aiden Edwards, Niela's least favorite student at the school. He was a torment to her every day they met in the halls. The last time, she had been cornered by him and his friends after her astrology class. They had done a damned good job at holding her back in the middle of the night and when she finally escaped them, she almost ran into Peeves once and had Ms. Norris starring at her several times. He was a thorn in her side and nothing more. But he was a Seventh year, which means that, in a couple more months, she would be rid of him, a fact she kept reminding herself.
"What the bloody 'ell do you want, Aiden? Come to get embarrassed again? You know, we really should stop meeting this way..."
She smirked as a few of her classmates passing by giggled at her comment towards him.
