Personality: Ivy seems like the perfect friend to have; she's loyal and always ready to stand up for you, but of course that is only half of who she is. She has strong beliefs and she will fight to the death for them, in this case the death of a friendship. She knows that others won't always see things her way, so she's built up a strong exterior to combat that, and she's always fighting someone if they start something with her.
On the other hand, she loves her friends and spends most of her time doing stuff with them. The only way she would lose one is if one of the above mentioned conflicting ideas came up--she's too stubborn to change her ways.
History:
Ivy was born in London to a muggle father and a magical mother. Ivy doesn't remember much about them since they were killed in a car accident when Ivy was two. Her father was trying to get to Ivy's sister's house, where Ivy was staying, and a drunk muggle hit their car, killing her mother instantly and her father died a day later in the hospital. As thier will stated, Ivy was sent to live with her aunt Maureen, from whom she got her middle name.
Ivy became very close to her cousin ___ and treated him like a best friend and the brother she never had. He was born a week before her, making them even closer since they were so close in age.
Growing up, __ and Ivy became inseperable. They would always play together and they had the same group of friends. Her cousin's letter arrived a day before Ivy's, and for that day Ivy was waiting frantically for hers to come, afraid that she wasn't like her cousin. When hers came the next day, aunt Maureen threw a party for them and they were sent to Hogwarts that September.
Ivy and her cousin remain close friends, always spending time together, and they have many mutual friends. Ivy remains alongside her cousin because there aren't many African American students at Hogwarts, so when she finds one she tries to befriend them.
