Personality (At least 4 sentences, but longer is preferred):
Jodi is a little unusual to say the least. She's a relatively quiet girl, who relaxes by wandering the halls after dark and talking to the animals she comes across on the grounds. She enjoys reading, particularly sci-fi and fantasy, but occasionally she lets her imagination get the best of her.
While it may take a little work for her to make friends, once she has them she is incredibly loyal to them. There isn't anything (save maybe the imperious curse) that could make her betray them. Her friends become her family, she cares so much. And no matter what the circumstances, Jodi is able to see the positive.
When it comes to classes however, Jodi is someone else. While she loves school and learning, she can be very unmotivated on the homework front. She'd rather do something she enjoys than study. For this reason she does best in classes that she has a natural talent for, such as Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology. It is also because of this that she struggles in classes such as Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration, which require more intricate wand work.
History (At least 4 sentences): Jodi is a small town girl from Leadworth, England. All her family are muggles, so when Professor Dumbledore came to her house to break the news to her and her family, Jodi was in awe. She had often dreamed that something would happen in her life. After all, nothing exciting ever happened in Leadworth, and now that it had... well Jodi almost couldn't believe it. Almost.
Her mom and dad had been skeptical at first, but somehow Dumbledore had managed to make them believe. Her older sister was the only one who was still on the fence, but Jodi suspected that had more to do with jealousy than anything else. After all, Jodi was getting out of Leadworth.
Once at school, Jodi managed to get into a good rhythm. Go to class, read, wander the grounds, wander the halls, hang in the common room. She even managed to make some friends. But now with the O.W.L.s looming over, Jodi is having to buckle down and actually study, in order to get the grades she needs.
RP Sample (At least 4 sentences, must be as the character. Pretend it's your first post): Jodi slipped out of the common room, being careful to look out for prefects and anyone else who might chew her out. Seeing her path was clear, she slipped into the shadows. Just because it was safe now, didn't mean someone wouldn't come walking around a corner, and Jodi really couldn't afford another detention.
Despite the fact that she could get detention, or maybe because of it, Jodi loved to sneak around. It made her feel like she did when she was little, playing games in the field near her house in Leadworth. Even though she was glad she only had to go back for breaks, there were some parts of Leadworth Jodi really did miss.
Jodi moved through the castle, from shadow to shadow, until she was in one of her favorite haunts. It was just a long unused classroom on the seventh floor, but the view was a pretty overlook of the lake, and no-one came here, not even the ghosts. Jodi opened the window and perched on the sill. The night air smelled crisp and clean and Jodi took in several deep breaths. She relaxed and let the stress of the day pour out of her.
((OOC: Sorry it's so long. I get carried away sometimes. It's better to be more than necessary than less I suppose. XD))
