(Thought we could meet....)
Perhaps one of Flynn's biggest flaws was his sweet tooth. He couldn't resist sugary snacks, and he always knew the best places to get them. Now that he had moved back to England for this teaching job, he could get re-acquainted with the places he had loved back when he went to school at Hogwarts. He'd already visited Florean Fortescue's in Diagon Alley, and of course he'd been to Honeydukes. But there was also that little bakery in Hogsmeade... if he remembered correctly, they had the best lemon bars he had ever tasted.
So, since he had a few hours before his next class, Flynn decided to take a little walk into Hogsmeade and visit the bakery. He had been away for a few years, so he wasn't even sure it would still be there, but it was worth a try.
The weather was unseasonably warm, and Flynn was actually hot as he walked across the grass, leaving the grounds of Hogwarts and entering the outer reaches of Hogsmeade. Still, the exercise did him good, especially since he was planning to get something sweet to eat.
By the time he reached the street where he remembered the bakery had been, he had worked up quite a sweat. He was breathing heavily as he saw the sign for the bakery and made his way over to the shop. At least it was still here! He hoped they would still have the lemon bars.
He pushed open the door and heard the little bell above the door jingle. He stopped at the counter, still breathing heavily, and looked down at the display behind the case.

Katheryn pulled her hair into a messy bun before opening the hot oven and pulling out the brownies that baked inside. She smiled as she set them on the counter and saw that they weren't burnt in any way. She picked up the next batch and put it in the oven in place of the old one. She hummed quietly to herself as she worked, thinking of her family.
Her sister had the day off and she was out spending it with some guy Kat didn't know. And since her mother handed the store over to them, she wasn't in the store that often. Both Kat and Kim were a little greatful for that. They loved their mother, of course, but they can only stand to hear her bossy manner so many times. She had a tendency to be a little OCD about how things were run at the store and now that she was gone, life was easier on the girls.
She noticed the little enchanted bell over the door ring and glanced up at a man that walked into the shop. She smiled sweetly at him. He was taller than her by about half a foot and he had dark hair. He went straight to the displays as though he was looking for something in particular. "Hello, sir. How may I help you?" She asked kindly, washing her hands immediately. She was a little overly sanitary when it came to the store. Well, that's what Kim thought anyways.

He was still panting a little bit when he heard the woman's voice. He was rather expecting the older woman who had always worked at the bakery when he was younger, so when he saw a younger woman around his age standing behind the counter, he gave a little start. She was pretty, with a dazzling smile... and he was sure he was making the worst first impression ever. The fact that he was staring at her, open-mouthed, probably didn't help.
"Oh, hi," he said. "Er... forgive my appearance. The walk from Hogwarts is longer than I thought. I'm not a spring chicken anymore, you know."
He gave a little laugh, realizing how incredibly stupid he must have sounded. She hadn't even said anything about his appearance, and here he was calling attention to it.
"I'll have a date... er, no... I mean, could I have one of those lemon bars?"

Katheryn looked at him curiously. He seemed a bit flustered for reasons she didn't know. She smiled at him none the less and merely waited for him to snap out of whatever daze he seemed to be in at the moment. She furrowed her eyebrows as he mentioned Hogwarts. He obviously wasn't young enough to be a student there. Professor perhaps? Seemed to be the only option. Unless he were a parent visiting his child.
"Hogwarts you say? Are you a professor, dear?" She asked, using pet names to complete strangers as she always did. It was a habit she picked up from her too kind mother. She chuckled along with him. "I certainly know what you mean. I used to be able to run laps around the lake. Now I get winded just running to the oven." She teased. She grinned at him as he slipped up but didn't comment on the "date" bit.
"Lemon bars are a good choice. Would you like a cup of tea with that, dear?" She asked, reaching in to the glass case to pull out what he had requested. She placed it into a small paper bag and set it on the counter next to her small register.

Flynn gave a little chuckle, but he wanted to kick himself for sounding like an idiot. He wasn't usually shy around girls. But this woman was very attractive, and the way she kept calling him "dear" made his cheeks feel warm.
"Tea would be lovely, thank you," he replied, even though he was still warm from his walk. He figured he might as well sit down, relax and enjoy this little break from his classes. And maybe he could have a little bit of a conversation with the woman.
"Yes, I'm a professor... just started recently. I'm teaching History of Magic to the younger kids... seems the current teacher isn't really holding their attention... so he just teaches the advanced classes now."
