Bianca needed a cocktail, and she didn't want to wait until Friday to do so. She started her job at the Ministry tomorrow, but she didn't see what a drink, or two, and getting to bed an hour or so late, would hurt.
She was going to go elsewhere for a drink, but she remembered a friend of hers talking about Ambrosia, and she decided to give it a try, even though she didn't have a date to go with. She wasn't going to let that bother her; with how nice she was, Bianca was sure she would find someone, male or female, to talk to before she went home.
She was dressed nicely, complete with her mother's pearls on for good luck, just in case the place had a dress code. Bianca would rather be over dressed than under-dressed.
She sat at the bar and waited for the bartender to finish helping another customer before ordering a cocktail. While she waited for the drink, she looked around to see if she recognized anyone.

Jax loved his job. He really did, even if he had to vocally remind himself everyonce and a while. Take today for example: a playful 8year old boy decided he'd help his mother bake his sister's birthday cake. Long story short, Jax was dealing with about 20 little girls with feathers sprouting from their arms.
Needless to say, at the end of the day, Jax needed a drink. Which brought him into Ambroisa. "Firewhisky please," Jax siad to the bartender and then took a seat. One oway from a young woman with pearls in her ears. "Hey there," Jax said politely, giving her a genuine smile.

Bianca turned to the man who had spoken to her and tried not to gasp. He was handsome, and Bianca was surprised he was sitting by her. Sure, she thought she was pretty, but from looking around there were women around her she would have picked over herself if she wanted to. It had been so long since a man had randomly talked to Bianca that wasn't one of her friends, so she wasn't going to start complaining.
"Hey," Bianca replied, returning the smile. She wanted to give him a line like 'you're waiting for someone, aren't you?' but she thought that might scare him away, so she kept her lame lines to herself. "What brings you here all by yourself?" She asked, deciding on a modified version of the line in question.

Jax grinned at the girl who had spoken up. She was pretty, and he was instantly pleased that he had taken a seat next to her. "Long day at work," Jax replied honestly, lifting the drink the bartender had just handed him.
He wondered if the young woman was waiting for someone. She would have told him that the seat was reserved for someone, wouldn't she? "How about you?" He asked curiously. "I mean, pretty girls like you usually have company, don't they?" mentally he slapped his forehead. Did he just say that? Good job Jax...

Bianca blushed a bit at his comment. She wanted to make sure she wasn't dreaming, a comment like that from a man like this. Bianca wasn't sure what she had done in her life to deserve this, but she was mentally thanking whatever higher powers were out there.
"Nope, n....not waiting for anyone. I, uhm, just came here to relax on my last day before I start working at the Ministry." She said, and quickly took a drink to try to calm herself down so she wasn't tripping over her words. "Where do you work?" She asked, deciding to let him do the talking.

"Ministry, that's exciting," Jax said. Maybe not the place for him, but exciting all the same. "I work at St. Mungo's, I'm a healer." He said, taking a drink and turning toward her more. "I specialize with peadiatrics," he added for good measure.
"What do you do at the ministry?" He asked to keep them talking. "Or, I guess, what are you going to do..."
"I'm Jax, by the way."

Bianca smiled when he mentioned he works in pediatrics. She liked guys that liked kids, and the fact that the man sitting next to her was attractive helped her cause even more. Even when she was a student, every man Bianca met was a potential boyfriend in her mind, so she tried to be kind to all of them. It also meant she got a little cocky after her initial shyness was gone.
Bianca thought he was nice, even though they had only been talking for a minute, and she hoped he wouldn't be too freaked out once he found out Bianca was muggle-born, as a lot of people were once they found that out. Of course, all Bianca really liked were pure bloods, and they wouldn't talk to her after they found out. She usually waited to tell others that for a reason.
"I actually want to get into St. Mungo's one day. I'm working with the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, getting my feet wet there before I put in to work at St. Mungo's. I think it's great you work with kids." She replied.
"I'm Bianca. It's nice to meet you, Jax." She said with a smile.

"St. Mungo's would be lucky to have you." Good Godric could he be a little more corny, really? She, Bianca, seemed to be liking him though, so he went with it.
“Do you want another drink?” Jax offered as he waved at the bartender. He hadn’t realized that his firewhisky had suddenly vanished from thin air.
“Yea, the kids are great,” Jax said as their drinks arrived. “They keep me on my toes, that’s for sure.”

Bianca blushed a bit, looking at her drink as it arrived. It meant a lot to her that a man she just met thought she'd be good in a job at St. Mungo's, since that was her ultimate goal, something she had been wanting to do for years.
"I bet they do!" Bianca said with a laugh. She always wanted kids; ever since she was a kid herself she pictured kids running all around the house. She knew it would get hectic, and here was Jax, giving her the proof that they could be trouble makers at times. "I don't know what I'd like to do at St. Mungo's yet, but I guess I have some time to decide, huh?" She asked before taking a sip from her drink.

Jax grinned at Bianca. "Guess you do," he said with another sip of his drink. "When you do, you know, you should let me know. I could put you in contact with with people if you need to." Way to sound like you're doing business Goldman.
"So what else do you do? You know, when you're not running into healers at resturant bars," he asked.

Bianca returned his smile. "That would be great! Thank you. Always a good thing to have someone to turn to when starting a new job." She said, reminding herself that she would have to make friends with someone tomorrow. She liked having friends wherever she went, and since she expected to be spending a lot of time at work, at least she hoped she'd like her job to stay, she would need someone to talk to.
Bianca thought for a moment before answering his question. "Well, I'm quite boring, really. I spend a lot of time with my dad; he's probably the best friend I have." She regretted saying that the moment she did, thinking it probably made her seem lame her closest friend was her father. But, even if Jax thought it was odd, it was the truth. "Other than that, I sit around reading. I don't usually get out much. So, when you're not being a hero to all those kids, what kind of things do you like to do?"

"Well, I work a lot," Jax admitted. "Being a Healer is full time and more." Yes Jax, tell her you're basically married to your work, good job idiot! "When I'm free, I read too. Or I visit my parents in London, the three of us get along really well and I like to check in on them often," he smiled at Bianca. "And lately I've found I find pretty girls in bars and ask if they have plans for tomorrow night." He smiled at his own boldness.

Bianca smiled, starting to like him more and more. A guy who spent his time helping kids and visiting his parents, and was good looking to top it all off? Merlin, way to think ahead, she thought as she took another sip of her drink. If anything, the drink would calm her down a bit.
And she thought she really needed the drink when Jax spoke again. She smiled and immediately felt her face flush. She just prayed it wasn't too noticeable.
"Well... I guess this one could spare some time after work tomorrow." She said, her smile growing. "Perhaps the hero here could pick me up from work and we'll find somewhere to go? Unless, of course, you already came prepared with that in mind."

He grinned wider. "Perhaps I could pick you up then, I'm sure this hero would have a plan or two up his sleeves," he chuckled. He continued to play along, enjoying it all too much. "And what time does the pretty girl get off work? I'm thinking Dinner and something fun." With Jax it was always something fun.

Bianca couldn't stop smiling. She only came here for a drink and some friendly conversation. She would have never guessed this was how her night would end, but she was beyond thrilled. Here she was, with a stupid grin on her face, just hoping she wouldn't say anything to ruin it.
"I get off at six," she replied. She had to think about it for a minute; saying she even had a job was weird to her, and now she had to get used to having her free time restricted. "I'm looking forward to it. Is the place for dinner going to be kept a secret?" Bianca asked.

"It is," he grinned, enjoying this already. "You'll just have to be surprised, that's how I do things." He was about to say more, but his pocket started making noise. The tip of his wand was flashing, clearly a message that he needed to rush to the hospital.
"I have to go," he said reluctantly. "But you will see me tomorrow, at six, be ready for the night of your life Bianca," he smiled.

Bianca frowned when his wand started flashing. She knew that must have been a signal or something. When he said he needed to leave, she only frowned more. But she'd have tomorrow to look forward to. Bianca took this as her signal to leave, as well. After all, she had a big day tomorrow, both for work and her evening.
"Ah, the hero is summoned." She smiled. "I will be ready, Jax. I'm looking forward to it, but don't let me keep you any longer. More important people need you." She chuckled.

He wished he didn't have to go. He'd much rather hang out with Bianca. But she was right, he was needed at St. Mungo's. "Well then I must bid you adieu," he smiled playfully, taking Bianca's hand and kissing the back of it. "Until tomorrow," he grinned again and then headed out of the bar to make his way to St. Mungo's.
