Personality (At least 4 sentences, but longer is preferred): Val is the kind of girl who can be exhausting to have around, and yet, you can't be annoyed with her, either. She's high-energy and very sweet, and could be compared with a sunny day. She has a way of making a person smile, even when it seems like the world is coming down around them. You'd never know about all the pain she has been through in her life.
Being a squib in a family of purebloods was not easy. Having her own twin brother turn against her because of it was even worse. It was lucky that she at least had Gabe on her side, or she would have been completely isolated from her family from the time she was 11. As it was, she was pretty lonely growing up, and she couldn't have been happier when she came of age and was able to move out.
But in many ways, being a squib was a blessing to her, because it meant that she could pursue her interest in singing. She is a firm believer in following one's dreams and that things happen because they were supposed to happen.
History (At least 4 sentences): Growing up, Val always felt out of polace in her family, even before she did not receive her Hogwarts letter. Her twin began showing magical powers fairly early in life, but she never did. Her parents were so strict that she often felt as though she were locked in a cage. In those years, she was rather quite and subdued and she daydreamed a lot. She was drawn to muggle things, having managed to sneak into a muggle movie theatre when she was very young to see The Wizard of Oz in a re-release. The singing, the colors, the story, it all captured her attention, and she tried to sneak into as many movies as she could from then on. Judy Garland was her favorite, and later she also came to admire Barbra Streisand as well. She wanted to sing like them, and she practiced in secret when ever she got a chance.
After she didn't get her Hogwarts letter, she went to a muggle school, where she learned to assimilate herself into the muggle culture. She was also happy to learn that she could take singing lessons there, and she began to train and strengthen her voice. When she graduated, she promptly moved out and took a waitressing job to support herself while she continued to study singing.
One night, while cleaning up at the end of her shift, she was singing to herself and a customer overheard her, marveling at her voice. He immediately offered her a job at his restaurant, where the waiters and waitresses also sang. It was a start, at least, and she happily took it. Since then she has appeared in a few musicals, and also works as a lounge singer in a small nightclub.
RP Sample (At least 4 sentences, must be as the character. Pretend it's your first post): I couldn't use Kristin Chenoweth and have her not sing. Lol.
