In Rori's and my defense, our addiction began a long time ago and was kind of a necessity to keep the board going. There was a period of time (as recently as last January-March) where there were really only three of us. Vi and Bella weren't really able to be active, Lucie, Anna, and Landon had left us, leaving really just me and Rori and Kris. As annoying as Kris was, she was super active when she was here, so I kept her around for that reason. So Rori and I just kept making new characters to keep things going. And now we can't stop.
You know the really awful thing? I said Zachary would be my last for a while... but it's still haunting me that I don't have the entire alphabet. I'm missing U. I also have never really had an active O character; I made Olivia after she was dead, in case I needed her as a ghost, but I never did. Which means I need two more characters to complete the alphabet.
And today I started coming up with characters for both.

I should also point out that Lucie, Landon, Anna, and Alastor Domino also had a large quantity of characters. But I don't think any of them had more than 20.

I kept mine short for the very reason. I was super active and creating lots of new characters, then I left home, started a new page and didn't have a very stable Internet access. When this board was new, Voltaire was my pride and joy, I couldn't do very much with Severus because we didn't have James or Sirius really. When we lost our first Voldemort, I took him on. Sadly my life hasn't been very steady or peaches since I first moved out. so I stop myself before I make a new character, I really see if I can commit to having another person to post for and a new personality to mold and flesh out. even as my list is short I still find it a little hard to give everyone my full attention.  |

And actually, with my recent additions that brings me to an even 60. So I really am going to stop. I also think there are about 10 characters that I can get rid of in the near future (by death or imprisonment), which will bring me to an even 50, which is a pretty good place to stop.

Oh I made him just to harp on some annoying students we had, but he was a lot more fun than Catherine Blustrode, my slytherin girl, I made her to harp on the same students. LOL they are long gone, but my annoying characters remain!
