Charms Lesson 1

[James Potter]

James couldn't help but listen to every bit of the conversation. However, he made no comment. He finally let out a quite laugh at Remus' comment. Sirius had it coming to him. He returned to be engrossed in his book cover design. James wished that this class would start, so that way he could get out of here. This whole idea of not looking or talking to Lily for an entire class period was starting to get more difficult as time progressed on. The quicker class begin, the quicker he could get his mind off of her onto something else.

[Sirius Black]

"Ooh, ow, Lily," Sirius said. "That hurts. Really. I don't know why you don't like me so much. I am just not feeling the love in this room." He put on an exaggerated sad face and put his hand over his heart.

[Severus Snape]

Severus was baffled for a moment. Was he just addressed? He quickly nodded and said smoothly " Hello Lily, I'm well, and yourself?" and automatic but polite response. Natalie would be proud of him. he gave a small smile at her but frowned when black had the gall to call him grease ball to his face. He seethed for a moment and smoothly said "Such cunning use of wit Black! did you get that from your mother's side of the family?" raising one of his eyebrows up to emphasis his sarcasm. " I believe Lily has the most valid opinion of the group Black." smirking as even Lupin snickered at Black. It was easier to be cruel with a even tenuous group behind you.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius raised his eyebrow and turned around to face Snape. "Um, excuse me? What was that? Did I hear you allowing yourself to speak to me, Snivellus?" He laughed. "Dude.... an insult from you is a compliment."

[Severus Snape]

" English from you is half understandable." Severus quickly snipped back. Really who was he trying to out wit? a Californian goat?

[Sirius Black]

"If that's true, it's only because the layers of grease in your hair are blocking your hearing," Sirius said, snickering. "Seriously, have you ever even heard of shampoo? You know, the stuff that makes your hair all clean and shiny? Or is it just that you don't bathe at all?"

[Severus Snape]

Now Severus was annoyed. "My hair isn't greasy." he glowered. "What's the matter Black? Thinking of bigger words hurt your pretty little head? why don't you find a parapet to play on." he sneered. He was trying to remain clam, but he was already feeling agitated.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius sneered at him. He was used to having James for backup, but his new idea for trying to impress Lily was totally cramping his style. "Yeah, what about you?" he said. "Shouldn't you be brewing some stupid potion? Maybe you'll blow yourself up one of these days."

[Severus Snape]

"Not before I make every hair fall out of your head and your tongue is twice the size it should be!" Severus snapped angrily. He stood up from his seat, either ready to curse the arrogant toe head or block.

[Lily Evans]

Lily watched them both, firing insults back and forth at each other. It was as if they had forgotten where they were, and that there were other people around them. Finally, she could take no more. "Sirius Black, you are just about the rudest and most obnoxious person I've ever seen. Why can't you just leave him alone? What's he ever done to you?"

[Sirius Black]

"Stay out of this, Lily. It doesn't concern you." Sirius said. "I never promised to be nice, and I could never be nice to him. I mean, look at him. He's about ready to duel with me." He leaned forward and eyed Snape coolly. "So how 'bout it, Snivelly? How's about a duel? Just you and me, after class."

[Severus Snape]

"You rude toe rag. Don't talk to her like that." Severus wasn't normally rude to girls, his mother had impressed on him to be polite to girls. "I'm not going to bother with the likes of you Black." Severus was more than willing to fight Black... but he wasn't about to head on into a duel right out of the class. No, he'd get him back in a much more creative way. Severus smirked at Black "So, enjoy yourself after class alone Black." Severus scooped up his books and bag and moved to the other side of the room. Plotting the attack against Black.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius laughed loudly. "I knew you were too much of a coward to fight me," he said, leaning back. "As long as I don't have to see you after class, I'll be just fine." He shook his head. The nerve of some people. Stupid Slytherins...

[Severus Snape]

Severus opened his book as if he hadn't heard Black. He wasn't a coward! he believed it was time lace the gryffindor table with another potion again...But something that wouldn't bother lily any...Ah maybe he could a dart? or a doxy? Ah the ideas were limitless. he cheered himself with the thought of revenge.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius took one more look at Snape and rolled his eyes. Yes, a very special revenge was definitely in order. He just hoped James was going to be up to the task....

[Remus Lupin]

Remus rolled his eyes at Sirius. "You really should be more careful," he said. "Starting a fight like that and challenging someone to a duel right in front of a professor is pretty dangerous."

[Sirius Black]

Sirius shrugged. "Yeah, well, if anyone had said anything, I just would have said I was kidding or something. I'm not really afraid of the professors, you know?" He glanced back towards Snape. "And I'm definitely not afraid of Snivellus."

[Severus Snape]

Severus glanced quickly over to Sirius, he was so arrogant and smug. He thought the perfect way to get even would talk a little bit of time to brew, but with a bit of tweaking a beautification potion could easily cause the worst things to happen to skin and hair. He just needed the perfect transport for Sirius's destruction...He'd have to beg Natalie to play his game with him.

[Regina Curry]

Regina stepped into class, hair a bit disheveled from running down the hall, after tripping twice coming from the Ravenclaw dorms. She had to be one of the only people that actually fall going upstairs. Straightening herself, she took a seat away from the populars. Being popular was not in her forte. She was just one of the invisibles that did pretty well in school and was waiting for the opportune moment to show how she really was.

[Hallie Monroe]

Hallie ran into the room, her curly hair a tangled mess. On the way back from her herbology class, she had tried taking a shortcut through the bushes and wound up getting her hair caught in the low-lying branches. Stupid, Hallie... so stupid, she told herself.

But although she looked a mess, at least she was pretty much on time for Charms class. She smiled as she spotted Regina, and walked over to sit next to her. "Hey," she said.
