Nina is a ball of energy, a force to be reckoned with, and a firecracker in her own right. She is the kind of girl who loves to party, loves to gossip, and cannot keep a secret if her life depended on it.
She has a sort of irreverance for any kind of authority figure, especially men. Her upbringing sort of lacked a patriarchal figure, though her mother insisted she keep the man's last name. It was simple enough for her- a habit of leaving was instilled at a young age.
She can seem flippant and has a devil-may-care attitude about a lot of things. People often think she's younger than she is, even though she's still quite young anyway.
The only time she really settles down and gets serious is when either family is involved, or when she's dancing. She relates to both Janet and Cameron in many ways.
History (At least 4 sentences):
Nina was born to two muggles, much like her half sister, Janet. Jonathan Wilder was on a business trip in Cuba when he met Francesca and had a brief affair with the girl, confiding in her only after the deed that he was married and he felt the relationship was strained. His stay in Cuba was a few months, and he conveniently left the country the day after Francesca discovered she was pregnant.
Nina was a handful from the very beginning, interested in everything. Francesca did her best to let Nina experience everything, but the girl seemed to lose interest in things almost as soon as she started them. The only things that stuck were things that related to music, and even those were a challange at times. But the Wilder genes for music and Cuban blood- how could she have been anything but a dancer? She was a fussy child, and by the time she was sixteen, just after her mother's passing, she was a runaway, a gypsy in the making.
She's held several jobs, never for very long. She travels wherever she wants, and usually disappears from the radar for long periods of time.
Meeting Janet was a recent event, when she was just 18. Cameron was just 12. How she found out about Janet and Cameron, no one knows. Her explaination of it is vague, but she, being close enough to her nephew in age, became fast friends with him and probably a bad influence on him. She loves Janet, and they're close, but they're very opposite in a lot of ways. Still, they have enough in common that a sisterly bond was easy to form.
She's been missing in action for the last year or so, which means it's probably time for her to make an appearance.
