Celebrity Claim (make sure you post in the Celebrity Claim list as well, and make sure your chosen celebrity is available): Um… help? I know exactly what I want for this, but I can’t think of a celebrity that fits. The best example I can think of is a much younger version of the character Billy Mack in Love Actually (Bill Nighy)—sort of a rough and tumble kind of guy… odd, quirky, a little flamboyant.

Personality (At least 4 sentences, but longer is preferred): Nigel can be hard to explain. Just when you think you understand him, he does something completely off the charts. He doesn’t like to be put into a category, and he never wants to be predictable. Because of this, the people who know him will alternately love him or hate him, depending on the mood he’s in.
Although small, he is a pretty tough guy and has been known to get into more than his fair share of fights. He can definitely hold his own in a fight, and has studied the martial arts over the years, but he’s very careful with his hands. After all, if he injures his hands, he won’t be able to play the guitar. Music is his true love, and if for some reason he is unable to play for a length of time, he becomes noticeably agitated. He’s always singing or humming or dancing and has even been overheard singing in his sleep.
He is a gifted performer, a true showman with a flair for the dramatic. His bandmates often feel that he steals the spotlight from them, and yet they know they have nothing without him. He lights up the stage, using magic freely for a dazzling effect. Their music and performance style is sort of glam-rock before such a thing existed in the muggle world.
When it comes to relationships, however, anyone close him will realize that he’s a true softy. He’s deeply loyal and romantic and loves nothing more than to spend time alone with his current flame. Although he has had his “flings,” he also has been known to fall deeply in love. When he loves someone, he will cherish them and lavish them with attention at any turn. But don’t expect privacy, because he probably will sing about it, although he doesn’t name names.
In the past, during the early days of the band, he slept with many women, because that was what rock stars did. But one drunken night with one of the roadies changed everything. Since then, he leaves the girls to his band mates while he looks at the guys. His change in sexuality has even been chronicled in his music, so everyone knows about it.
History (At least 4 sentences): Nigel Barksworth was born in a surprisingly unremarkable family. His parents, both muggles, were both exceedingly ordinary. His father was an accountant, and his mother was a kindergarten teacher. He was an only child and lived in a small but comfortable house in a suburban area near Stratford. But young Nigel was anything but ordinary from the time he was a little boy. At age four, he was caught dressing in his mother’s sparkly dress and high heels that she had worn for a special occasion several years before. He liked to sing and dance and he convinced his mother to let him take piano lessons. At his first recital, he pretty much brought down the house by wearing a glittering jacket and performing his piece in a jazzy style while standing up (like Jerry Lee Lewis). It was clear that he was meant to perform.
It was something of a surprise when he got his Hogwarts letter. Although some odd things had happened around Nigel, no one quite thought anything of them, and everyone expected that he would go to a school for the performing arts instead. Faced with a choice, Nigel chose Hogwarts, but certainly did not give up music. He took up the guitar while he was in school, and he started writing songs as well. In his sixth year, he started the Wrackspurts with three of his friends. They built up quite a following, and they actually earned a recording contract with a wizard rock label before they even graduated. But the original drummer dropped out just before the paperwork was signed, because he was planning to become an auror. A new drummer was hired, and he seemed to pull the band together.
The Wrackspurts rose to great fame in the wizarding world, and they have battled scandal and each other to continue their dominance of the wizard rock charts.
His parents continue to live modestly, and he visits them often. They have no idea that their son is a huge star.
