She was nervous around animals but Teagan bucked up her courage and walked forward toward the various cages. None of them seemed quite right. What was a newt anyways? It looked like a lizard. Teagan shivered in disgust.
A cage full of kittens caught her eye. Aww, they're adorable, she thought. One of them in particular stood out. It was a ball full of white fluff, looking like a cotton ball. She picked it up and looked into it's yellow eyes. The cat seemed to be looking into her soul. It cocked it's head and mewled softly, butting heads with her. She melted.
"I'd like to by this kitten, please. Can you tell if it's male or female?" Teagan asked curiously.
"Yes, it's a female," the clerk said, matter-of-factly checking the kitten's sex and ignoring the feline indignation he was met with.
"Oh, that's good. Uh, how much?" she asked.
"That'll be seven Galleon's, miss," the clerk said immediately.
Teagan handed over the money and then looked at the kitten and said, "I'm going to name you Astrix. Do you like that?"
The kitten replied with a purr and crawled up to settle on her shoulder, burying under her hair.
