Her question was asked innocently. She missed him, missed being held by him and having do outrageous things with her just to make sure she'd be safe. But who knew where the night would end up? She just wanted to be with him, and whatever came as a result was fine by her. "We can. I've just been surrounded by so many people... it would be nice to just hide away with you. And you did promise that I was going to be yours for the next couple of days, so here's a good way to start with that, right? You make the room," she added, nodding her head towards the wall where the door would appear for the room of requirement. It didn't take too long to reach the seventh floor. Dean led her to the wall where the door would appear and then stopped. "Good," he said. "I hoped that you would say you wanted to stay for at least tomorrow." He squeezed her hand. Dean didn't have any idea as to what kind of room he should create so he only thought of something that would be comfortable and of course there would have had to be a fireplace. Once the door appeared, Dean led them inside. “I only pictured a room that would be comfortable, so I hope you like it.” Dean looked back to her and smiled. He closed the door behind them as they walked in. There was a couch, a fireplace, a small bookcase with a few books, and a small bed in the corner.

Jackie was still unsure about a lot of things. It wasn't easy to forgive someone at the drop of a hat, but she knew that Dean would never hurt her like that on purpose. And she knew that it even felt like it was easier to breathe when she was with him. So she squeezed his hand back and smiled, following him into the room.
"You look really nice. Have I mentioned that yet?" She liked seeing him all cleaned up and dressed up. And she had to admit, it was pretty romantic here. when they were inside the room, she stopped him and stood on her toes, putting his arms around his neck and hugging him close. "I'm so sorry."

"You might have," he said with his boyish like smile. Dean had to admit that dressing up made him feel a little awkward since he wasn't used to it but as long as Jackie liked it, he didn't mind feeling a little awkward.
He didn't get to ask his question because Jackie put her arms around him. Dean put his arms around her which seemed to swallow her. He rested his head on top of hers. He gently rubbed her back. "It's okay," he said softly.

Jackie loved that little grin of his. It made him look so much younger and so carefree.
She just held onto him for a long time, breathing him in and not moving until he made her. She missed him so much, and she'd ached when he was gone- well, when she was pushing him away. But what else was she supposed to do? Zoe would give her death looks, and she saw that kiss. At least, enough of it to felt like she lost her best friend. She felt so empty, but now, with him, she felt like she was she was supposed to.
"Dance with me, Dean."

He wasn't even sure what he was really thinking. It was great to have Jackie back. He felt like his other half came back. Before everything Jackie was his other half. The two were rarely seen a part. She was the one that brought him out of his shell, the one that didn't judge him.
Without a word he moved one hand and flicked his wand with ease to make the record player start to play. Dean slipped his wand back into his pocket without much movement. Once his arm was back around her, he started to move his feet slowly, making them both move a little bit.

Jackie took a breath and released it slowly, enveloped in Dean's arms. There was so much she wanted and needed to say to him, and she just felt like it was all rather heavy for a sixteen year old girl and boy.
"Dean, I remember you saved me during the attack," she ventured slowly. "I don't remember much that day, but I remember you. I don't know if I ever thanked you."
She knew he wasn't hurt that day, and she was so thankful for it. She should have been there if he was hurt, right? They were always supposed to be there for each other. She made a silent promise to always be there from now on.

"I had to," he said. "You're still my best friend and I couldn't let anything happen. I just acted that day." Dean didn't go into much detail. He didn't want Jackie to remember a lot of what was going on. The attack had scarred a lot of people and Dean was one of them. All of that chaos. Jackie was lucky to have not seen it all, but he wished that she didn't have to suffer the effects from it.
"Besides, I'm your Batman or whatever super hero. I have to make sure that you'll be just fine, even when we're old and wrinkly." Dean pulled back a little and smiled at Jackie. "Now, we don't have to worry about any of that, except making it through the rest of term. I think we can handle that, don't you?"

Jackie smiled. "You can be Batman, that's okay. I like him. He's.... what do they call it? A bad arse?"
What he said about them being old and wrinkly made her pause, and she glanced at him with uncertainty. Would they still be together when they were old and wrinkly? Jackie loved him, and she knew that. When she thought about it, she really always had loved him. She was just too young to understand what that really meant.
"And I don't know... term is pretty rough. It'll be difficult, to say the least. At least, for those of us not in Ravenclaw," she added, teasing him.
"Dean?" she said, her voice a little lower, and she stood up on her tiptoes to kiss him. She'd missed doing that, too, even if some small part of her wondered if she kissed like Zoe did.

Dean wasn't sure if they'd still be together when they were old and wrinkly. Once school was over with, who knew what the real world would hold for them. However, it was a decent thought that they would be still together, even if they were just friends when they were old.
"Well, I'm always available to help you. All you have to do is say the word and I'll help." He liked helping her. They would always have fun when he helped her study or do her homework. It was never boring and he missed that.
Since his head was already tilted down to look at her, Jackie didn't have to go very far. Her lips were as soft as he remembered. Dean tightened one arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him and placing his other hand on the back of her neck. This was something else he missed.

Jackie relaxed as their lips met, and let her eyes fall closed. She'd known Dean ever since she came to Hogwarts, and he was like family. Even her brothers liked him... why did she try so hard to push him away after that incident with Zoe? She should have known better.
Pulling away, but only a little, she shook her head. "This is perfect... and I'm so sorry I didn't listen to you when you tried to tell me what happened. I'll be better to you."

"What happened happened and that's just how it was. Now we're going to move forward." Both of his arms were wrapped around her. He forgot how small she was compared to him. "And you've always been good to me, except for well recently, but it's okay. As long as you don't try to push me away so hard again. I'm still going to always be your best friend no matter what."
Jackie was always the one that was there. She was the one that came to him and pretty much asked to be his friend. After that, everything was smooth sailing. Even if their relationship didn't last, he still wanted to be friends with her. However, he hoped that wasn't something they were going to have to worry about.
Dean held onto Jackie and spun her around then sat her back on her feet. "We're going to be just fine, you know that right? I mean after all, I wouldn't be up here with just anyone nor would I be holding just anyone like this," he said with a wink.

"I know that now. I just didn't think I would be such a girl about this." Dean was patient and kind and everything she wasn't entirely sure she deserved. But Merlin, did she feel like she was home when she was in his arms.
But Dean was right... enough was enough, and she was lucky to have him so that they could put this whole thing behind them, and move forward like nothing had happened. Dean was so forgiving sometimes, that she wondered how he ever put up with her.
"I have to say... this is probably a million times better than the dance would have been. It's good, it just being you and me, you know?" She missed it. She didn't tell him, of course, but oh, she ached when she was pushing him away. She just assumed being hurt about the Zoe thing hurt more than pushing him away would, and she was wrong.

"You've got to be a girl about something," he teased her.
Jackie could be stubborn and Dean could see where she came from when she was mad at him. If the tables had been turned and Jackie had been in the situation, Dean would have been mad as well.
"Of course this is better than the dance," he said as he winked at her. Dean spun her around. "You have me all to yourself." He grinned. "And as long as you don't go get any crazy ideas in your head, we'll be just fine." He was teasing with her. It seemed easy to tease with her now, just like he used to.
