(I Got all my sisters with me... lol)
Abbey hadn't taken a day off in weeks. Her job wasn't always a 9-5 job, like many of the other ministry jobs, and more often than not, if someone was needed in an emergency situation, she was the one who volunteered for the job. The last time she had taken time off, she spent the day at the movies and shut out the rest of the world. But as work became more hectic, Abbey realized that if she didn't take a break, she would collapse from exhaustion. So she owled her sisters, and asked if they would be willing to go out for coffee on the weekend. It just happened that it was a Hogsmeade weekend for the students, so Penny wouldn't even need special permission to go.
Always punctual, Abbey was the first to arrive at Madam Puddifoot's, and she ordered a cup of coffee and a chocolate croissant, then sat down to wait for her sisters to arrive.

Helen had been gone for a few days to recover a few things for Gringotts. She arrived home the day before and started to help her mother around the house. Rarely did Helen ever slow down. She always had to be on the go because just being in one place for too long was too much of a bore.
One of the reasons she remained at home was because she didn't see the need in getting an apartment for the time being. Usually Helen would be gone off or she would be at work all day. The only time she would be at home was to sleep or sometimes eat.
Receiving the owl from Abbey made Helen clear anything she had on that day so that she could go spend time with her sisters. It wasn't every day that she would get to see them and of course it didn't matter what time it was, if one of them owled, she would come running.
Ditching her robes, Helen wore muggle clothes but they were still a little business like casual clothes. She made her way to Hogsmeade and entered Madam Puddifoot's. Placing her usual order, coffee and a strawberry and cream cheese croissant, Helen looked around for her sisters. Her eyes fell on Abbey and a smile spread across her face. She made her way to her sister. "Abbey!"

Penelope was the first to line up in the courtyard for the Hogsmeade visit. The letter from Abbey had arrived about a week ago and she could think of nothing else since then. The year had been a lonely one for her so far, it was not that she had no other friends, but there just isn't any substitute for sisters. Actually, Penelope had not been very close to her sisters growing up but now that she was getting older she found she wanted to be around them more and more. So, she had been counting the days until the Hogsmeade visit and made not plans with anyone else. She wasn't sure how long everyone else had but she wasn't going to cut the meeting short if it lasted a long time.
She tapped her foot impatiently. The caretaker was taking a ridiculous amount of time checking everyone's name off the list. Finally, he let them go and Penelope practically ran all the way to the village. She pushed open the door and looked anxiously around; she was worried she was late. She didn't order her Butterbeer until she saw Helen and Abbey seated at a table. She waved and went to meet them.

By the time Helen arrived, Abbey was already half finished her croissant. The coffee she would savor, but chocolate was always her biggest weakness, and she usually ate it much too quickly. The sound of a familiar voice, however, distracted her and she looked up to see Helen approaching her, coffee and croissant in hand.
"Helen!" she cried happily, standing up and pulling her sister into a hug. "Sit down! You must tell me how you're doing?"
But before Helen got a chance to respond, Penny was approaching them. "And Penny!" she added, hugging her youngest sister. "I swear, it looks like you've gotten taller!"

Janis was the last to arrive, though she didn't mean to be. Her husband had been getting ready for his shift at the hospital, and she stalled long enough to see him off. His shifts were long and often ended when she was sleeping or out, and she felt like she didn't get to see him enough. Sometimes, she thought maybe she was too young to settle down with someone like him. She loved him deeply, of course, she just wished she could see him more.
The bell above her head tinkled as she came through, and she glanced upward at it before she spotted her sisters. She could hear them all greeting each other, and smiled to herself as she made her way over.
"Hello girls. I hope you haven't started the party without me."

Abbey couldn't help the way some of her confidence seemed to slip when Janis walked in. Of course she loved her older sister deeply, but she always felt so.... insignificant around her. Although most of her childhood envy had faded, she still couldn't quite get over the feeling that she just wasn't as pretty or as good or as friendly and likeable as Janis.
"Hi, Janis," she said, letting Penny go and moving over to hug Janis. She may no longer have been the oldest sister present, but she had called for this little tea party, so she felt obliged to act as the host. "Merlin, it's been too long since I've seen you all. I've missed you so much!"

Penelope smiled and hugged each of her sisters. "I swear, it looks like you've gotten taller!"
"Yeah, probably," she smirked, she prided herself on already being one of the tallest of her sisters. She had to admit though, it was intimidating for her to being with her sisters in a group like this. It wasn't that she didn't love them all, it was just that being so much younger than them was sometimes hard. She wanted to prove to them that she could hold her own around them. She wanted them to think that she was mature enough to being meeting them like this, but at some point during their meetings she always felt like the much younger sister.
I've missed you all so much too!" She joined in, "You really are cut off from the outside world at Hogwarts. What have you all been doing?" She folded her hands in front of her on the table and smiled at each of them.

Helen embraced Abbey but before she was able to answer or take a seat, she noticed Penelope come in. Another smile was on her face and she held her arms open after Abbey hugged her. It never failed, once one Jones sister entered the others followed a minute or two after.
Before Helen was able to say much to Penny, Janis entered and she was hugging her too. "Hey girls, it's really been far too long." She was just excited to see all of them again.
She looked to Penny. "It's just been work on my end." Helen moved over to take a seat at the table. "School hasn't been driving you too batty has it Penny," she asked teasingly.

At just 5' 2", Abbey was the shortest of her sisters, and as such, she felt almost lost between them. Even 13 year old Penny towered over her. To hide this fact, she quickly slipped back into her seat, so that at least she would have an excuse for being tiny.
"Oh, not much, really," Abbey said dismissively. She worked too much, fell asleep on the couch and woke up each morning to do it all over again. On a particularly stressful day, she would put on one of her Beatles records and let their voices soothe her to sleep. Her current favorite album was Rubber Soul, and she had been playing it almost constantly. But surely Penny didn't want to hear any of that.
"Yes, you must tell us how things are going at Hogwarts," she said, nodding to Helen's question.

"Well," Penelope began, "Things at Hogwarts are... fine." She was trying to make herself sound as natural as she could. She didn't want her sisters to know how lonely Hogwarts had become. It had been two years since Helen had left Hogwarts and at first Penelope thought she would love it, not having to live under her sisters shadow and being able to branch out on her own. However, the more time went on, the more she realized that she missed having a connection to home when she was away. Besides that Hogwarts she was itching to get out of Hogwarts and into the real world. She knew that it would be a long time before that happened and that she was far too young to be going out and doing anything on her own and yet she always felt a little bit left behind by her sisters.
"Everything's good. Classes are getting harder, same old, same old, you know," She made her voice sound more confident and was sure it sounded like the truth.

The sad thing was, if Penny had told them that she was lonely at school, Abbey would have understood completely. Perhaps it was the way they had been raised, but the communication among the Jones sisters was not very good. Abbey was lonely, too, in her little apartment. Maybe Janis and Helen were lonely, too. But for some reason, no one ever seemed to say anything about it.
"Yeah, I know how that is," Abbey said, smiling. "Just be glad you still have a few years until your OWLs. I still have nightmares about those."

Janis greeted her sisters, but she was mostly quiet, letting them talk. Penelope and Abbey seemed the most chatty, and it was usually that way. They always seemed the most adamant about keeping in touch with everyone.
Janis was right there with them, especially be the oldest, she was just quieter about it.
"I'm glad to hear that school is going well," she commented lightly. "And OWLs werent so bad. It was the NEWTS that I remember. Especially the Potions one... I think I cried over that one."
