Aline sat at the Black Lake, waiting for her brother. She finally got him away from his friends for the afternoon, so that they could spend some time together, just the two of them. Sure, they saw each other enough since they were in the same house, but she didn't really get to spend time with him alone, and she missed that from when they were growing up.
Today, Aline got some food together than she knew her brother liked, and told him to meet her at the lake, that they were going to have a picnic, just the two of them. Aline felt like she was being selfish wanting Zeke all to herself, but since she was his little sister, Zeke's friends could deal with it. Finally, after what Aline thought was forever, Zeke showed up. She stood up and waved to him to let him know where she was.

Zeke loved the idea of spending time with Aline. Most older brothers tried to avoid thier siblings, but to Zeke, Aline was the only family he had, and therefore, he could put off hanging out with his friends to be with his little sister for as long as she wanted. He had never been more estatic that she was going to be at Hogwarts with him this year. He had missed her while she was home.
Zeke saw her waving and he headed over to the Black Lake. When he reached Aline. He hugged her, picking her up and spining around. "Buon Pomeriggio poco Aline," Zeke said smiling. "Good afternoon little Aline, how are you?" he translated, knowing that they moved from Italy when she was still very small, and that her Italian wasn't as good as his.

Aline laughed as Zeke spun her around. She was happy that her brother always made time for her whenever she asked. Aline also counted herself lucky for that, but didn't ask often, knowing he needed time for his friends, too.
Aline smiled as he translated for her. She knew a little Italian, but it was only bits of what she heard Zeke say that she picked up on. "I'm happy you could come, Zeke. I was afraid you wouldn't have time for me," She said, pouting playfully. She could never fully be mad at her brother, not when he was the only family she really had; she couldn't find it in her power to be anything more than vaguely upset at him.
"I hope the food's okay. I got what I could," She said, and kneeled beside the picnic basket, taking out bread, cheese, and a large plate of spaghetti she got mainly for Zeke. It was the most Italian thing she could find on such short notice, which was her fault, if she were to be honest with herself.

He put his sister down and kissed the top of her head. "I'm happy I could come too," Zeke said, even though it was no trouble really. "And I always have time for you Sorellina." He said. Sorellina meant little sister, and Zeke usually choose to call her that instead of Aline.
"This was a good idea Aline, it's a nice day," He sat down and helped her set up the food she had gotton. "Where'd you get all this from?" he asked.

Aline looked at the ground, thinking if she should lie and say a friend got it, or tell Zeke the truth. Her imagination got the best of her as she thought if she lied and Zeke found out, he wouldn't talk to her anymore. She knew that wasn't true, but it scared her.
"Uhm, I...I made friends with someone in the kitchen, and they gave me the food," She said quietly, staring at the ground and hoping her brother wouldn't be mad. It wasn't like she freed the elf that snuck the food to her, she did promise she would be his friend, though, and she wasn't sure if she was supposed to.

"That's great Aline," Zeke smiled. "The elves here are pretty nice, I spend a lot of time in there when I have the chance, and they let me mess around with ingredients and stuff..." Zeke liked cooking and on occasion experementing with recipies. He'd spent enough time down in the kitchens to know almost all the elves by name.
He placed food on seprate plates and handed one to his sister. "Bon Appiete, Sorellina."

Aline's face lit up and she let out a sigh of relief as he told her he talked to the elves as well. She was so worried he'd get mad. "Really? You're not mad at me?" She asked, smiling widely. "I was so worried you'd be mad!" Aline took the plate of food from her brother and started to eat, glad she had the time with him to herself.
"Maybe when we finish eating we could go somewhere else? I don't want to let you go yet!"

"Why would I be mad?" Zeke asked as he served himself a plate of food. "nothing wrong with the elves, they're usually rather interresting," he added.
"How about after we can go for a walk around the lake" Zeke said. "I'm not going anywhere kiddo, I planned the whole afternoon around your pretty little face," he smiled and poked her nose with her finger.
"So tell me how are classes going?" Zeke asked. "Having any trouble?"

Aline smiled and nodded when he mentioned walking around the lake, and smiled even more to know he had planned the day around her.
"Well, my potions class is hard. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get anything right! All the other kids laugh at me, but I tell them to shut up because my big brother will always be there to hurt them if they say anything bad about me!" Aline said proudly. She loved her brother more than anyone else, and she knew he'd always be there for her. "But don't worry, the teacher didn't hear when I said that!" She added quickly.

Zeke grinned when Aline told her about telling other kids that he would stick up for her. "You know that's right," Zeke nodded. He'd always be there for his baby sister. "Well, I could probaby help you out with Potions, but I haven't been that good at it either. I know a few kids that could help you too," Zeke offered.
"Been making friends though?" Zeke asked. As much as he loved his sister and spending time with her, he wanted her to have other people in her life too that she could rely on.
