"-then if you add the heart string at the same time as the wormwood, plus a counter clockwise turn every couple of times, the potion will come out thicker, see?" Warren was helping one of the first year's in the corner of the room whom he knew was having a particularly difficult time in Potions. Warren, who was in a sixth year level potions class, over heard and felt particularly nice today, so he sat down with the kid to help out.
the only time Warren is completely focused is with school work. He was pretty sure he had some attention problem, but bringing it up to his parents would have been problemmatic, since they'd probably dissagree on how to help their one and only child.
At that moment, he saw a group of friends come in the common room. "Good luck," he said to the first year, before heading over to his friends. "Hey guys, whats up?"

Essie looked up at Warren. He was a year younger than her, but he still towered over her.
"Warren. Hey." She said, a thin smile appearing on her face. She didn't get why he was so protective of her, especially since she was caring for herself since she was eleven, because of her guardians being death eaters. The other Slytherin's waved and walked away, leaving Essie alone with Warren.
"Ugh." She said, her brows creasing. She didn't want to be left alone. Most people thought he and she were dating. She didn't really think that way about him. He was handsome, but not that way.

As the others walked away, Warren laughed quietly. "Gotta love those Slytherins," Warren said with a wide, charming smile. "such a charming group. How are you Essie?" Warren asked.
Warren wasn't really into the dating scene. His parents, who in his opinion were too different to have been together for so long, inspired that in him. He was fine with having friends though, and Essie was a good one.

she lives in a fairytale, somewhere too far for us to find,SO ONE DAY HE FOUND HER CRYING COILED UP ON THE DIRTY GROUNDher prince finally came to save her "Fine." Essie replied readily. She and Warren were good friends. When Warren was sorted, Essie welcomed him grandly and took him under her wing...who said all Slytherin's girls had to be witches with a capital b?
"Yeah. So what have you been up to?" Essie asked, gesturing for Warren to sit down at the nearest couch available. She knew this conversation could go on for a while. The black leather couch was a small love seat, large enough to seat three small people, or two teenagers. Essie plopped down, making the leather squelch. She groaned, a deep noise coming out from her throat. This couch was too loud for its own good, and it had to be at least a century old!
"C'mon, have a seat." Essie said, a playful smile appearing on her plump lips. She wanted to have everyone jaw drop. She was tired of them thinking of her and Warren in that way. It was...in just! It was very wrong doing, especially for herself. She wanted an older guy, and she didn't really care what house they were in.
Essie glanced around the room. It was later in the day, and many of the students had emptied out of the common room into their corresponding bedrooms. All except for a few students, most of whom didn't matter to Essie whatsoever. Essie suddenly got a icy wave of air blast over her. Turning around, she saw a few late comers rush inside, the heavy metal door that opened to the dungeons slamming behind them, a loud clicking noise as it clasped close. Essie shivered, then stood up. The few Slytherin students who were on the large couch dived off as she walked over, their eyes full of fear. Essie did have a reputation, after all.
"Stupid little kids. Wait till they get older." Essie stated bluntly, sitting on the couch covered in green velvet with black buttons, that happened to be closer to the fire, luckily enough for Essie, who hadn't stopped shivering ever since they opened the door to the commons. Why people could stand such cold, Essie had no clue! It was uncommon for people like her to enjoy the cold. She really took after her house's animal.

Nothing terribly interesting," Warren said. "Just the normal day-to-day stuff here," He took a seat by Essie on the couch and tucked one leg underneath himself. "How bout you? Studying for your OWLs?" he knew some of the kids in his grade were already panicking about next years upcomming tests. Warren though, was exceptionally bright, and therefore, wasn't worried about any sort of exam.
He winced at the banging noise the door made, and watched Essie travel to the Green sofa. He chuckled a little, and watched the little kids scurry from Essie. "Oh, they aren't that bad," Warren said, he got up, letting the younger kids tak his seat and he went to sit on the arm of the sofa Essie aquired. "Geez you move around a lot," Warren joked.

"My parents have been preparing me for the OWL's ever since I got old enough to read." She nodded, her eyes wide open, a little pout creasing her lips. Watching Warren's expression, Essie leaned back her head and laughed, a deep hearty laugh. She loved joking around with Warren, especially since she hadn't seen him in ages. Essie sat up, finally warm, and started to meander around the dungeons, looking at all the statues of snakes. Finally, she came across the statue that she used to read. Something was odd about it though.
"Hey, Warren, does this statue look different to you?" Essie asked, her hand moving in a 'come here' motion.

Turning the corner to Slytherin's common room, she ran into a wall! No, not a wall, but a chest. Looking up her eyes widened slightly. Wow, someone had a growth spurt, she thought.
