Lately it seems that Photobucket has been cracking down on "inactive" accounts and are showing blank "inactive account" squares in place of their images. If you are finding images from other sites to use as avatars or signatures, please remember the following:
1.) Make sure you have permission to use the image (as in, it's on a free graphics site or fan site). If the original artist requires that you credit them for their work, make sure you post something in your signature to that effect.
2.) Save it to your own account, do not hotlink it directly from where ever you found it. Places where you can host your own images include

tinypic.com/
I think ImageShack and tinypic don't require you to sign up for an account, so if you don't want your own account, those may be better options.
Also, when I make a graphic for you, you are welcome to use the same URL of the graphic I gave you. My Photobucket account is definitely active.
