London felt like Heaven to Maura, especially when she'd been away for so long. She was walking through the streets on the way to the apartment, wondering if Brandon was home. Often, they worked together, but she had been flying solo in Egypt for a couple of months while he was on a mission in Romania.
Egypt was a goldmine for curses, and probably the one country that kept her employed for so long.
Stifling a yawn, she finally slid her key into the lock of her door.
"Brandon?" she called, closing the door behind her and taking off her cloak.

Brandon had been napping on the couch when he heard a key slide into the door. He sat up and looked over to see none other than Maura walk through the door, looking utterly exhausted.
"Maura!" Brandon broke into a huge grin. He hopped over the couch and hugged his "older" sister, picking her up and spinning her around enthustiactly. "I missed you my darling sister!" He chuckled. How's that for a welcome home.

(Geez.... four or five months later. I am le fail.)
Exhausted and tired as she was, her brother's enthusiastic greeting made her smile, and then laugh just a bit. She may have been single, but she didn't mind it so much- she still had someone to come home to who doted on her, just in a different way.
"Brandon... I missed you too. Put me down," she added with a laugh.
"You haven't destroyed the place, right?" she added, looking past his shoulder to teasingly check.

(I feel like this will just be a short thread spread out over many months, hahaha)
Brandon squeezed Maura close to her once more before gently placing her back on the ground. "Me? Destroy the place?" Brandon looked around once just to check. "Nope, not a scratch," he smiled.
"Anyway, I just got home yesterday, so I've just been catchin up on some much missed sleep," sometimes their job kept them up all hours of the night and they had funky sleep schedules. "Which, according to your face, is something you'd realy like to do aswell..." he steered his twin sister over to the couch and ploped into one of the seats. "Sit down, relax, and tell me about Egypt!" He was terribly jealous that she got to go on the trip. He loved Egypt.

(hahhaha.,... probably. But they're cute!)
"Ooooh, that's why the place still looks inhabitable... you haven't had time to destroy it!" Maura was teasing him, the banter easy between them since they'd grown up together from birth, literally.
But he was right that she could use some sleep. She was absolutely exhausted. When he ushered her towards the couch, her legs carried her without any further prodding, and she collapsed, half sideways, her head resting in her brother's lap just after she placed a pillow there.
"You've been... you know what Egypt's like. The trip was amazing, though. Remember when we were little, and Dad would read those stories about mummies and the cats and the sandstorms.... it was like all of that."

(this months apart posting is becomeing tradition for us...)
"Maura I'm appauled to think that you, my very own twin sister, would think I'd destroy this place...our home..." he feigned distraught. Of course, it was usually Brandon's own fault for most of the damage that happened to this poor little apartment. A ripped curtian here, a hole in the wall there, sinks piled with so many dishes that it became a danger zone if one would want to avoid hitting their head with a falling plate.
Brandon drummed his fingerd on the top of his sister's head lightly as she talked about her trip. "Sounds like a blast." Brandon said. "I want to go back, not for work though, for like, vacation." If that word even exsitsed in his vocabulary. "Cause any trouble while you were away?" he asked.

(God im so sorry lol)
If Maura closed her eyes, she thought, she would be asleep instantly, pinning her brother under her as she just slept on. She taught to keep her eyes open.
"Vacation? What is that word?" Maura teased. They both worked so much and were always traveling on the job that she didn't know the last time either of them had been on vacation.
"No trouble. Met a guy, though...." she trailed off, letting his brotherly imagination take over.

(oh look, did it again)
"You know, Va-ca-tion," Brandon laughed. "We've never been on one, but it's nice to dream." It was true though that they hardly ever had time off. Curse-breaking was rewarding but hard and busy all at the same time.
"A guy? What kind of guy? Who? How?" Brandon sat up a little, not sure what to think of this.
