Ed had been waiting a long time for a successful encounter with a werewolf. He had trained and studied, ready for the fight. But none of his trainings prepared him for the horrible feelings he was experiencing post slaughter. He seemed dazed as he walked in the door of his girlfriend's home, his clothes showing signs of a struggle. He could hear Bridget in the kitchen and he followed the sounds and smells of dinner silently. When she came into view he simply stood there, not sure of what to say to her. He had taken a life tonight.

Bridget was busy cooking a special dinner for her Ed, so busy in fact that she didn't even hear him come in. She didn't expect him to be so quiet, usually he came home happy and upbeat which meant for Ed he was rather loud. But tonight was different. And it startled Bridget as she turned around with a casserole in her hands to see Ed stalking in the archway. She jumped a little and the casserole shifted in its dish, a bit spilling over the edge. "Merlin, you gave me such a start!" she said as she regained her composure and brought the dish over to the table. "When did you get home?" She gave Ed a kiss and short embrace, then grabbed a dish rag to clean up the mess she had just made.
