Joel wanted to take Daisy out to dinner. Somewhere nice, candles, expensive wine... the whole shebang. The only problem was, they hadn't been on a proper date in ages. There was a romantic at heart in Joel, and he believed that dates shouldn't end after you were married. The few times he had recently proposed the idea to her, she'd been busy, or he'd been busy, and even though they were in the same house, sometimes it just felt like he was oceans away from her.
He was currently alone in the house, waiting for her to come home. Maybe tonight he just wouldn't give her the chance to say no. They could use a little time just to themselves, to remember what it felt like to be young (partially so, at least) and in love.
So while he waited, he grabbed a quick shower and got dressed... Merlin knew he cleaned up really well.

Daisy's heels clicked on the pavement sidewalk leading to her doorstep. She unlocked the door and walked inside, taking her coat off immediately. She hung it on the coat rack and walked up stairs to the bedroom she shared with her husband. She had every intention of stripping to only her underwear, throwing on a silk night gown, and going to bed early. She stepped out of her heels as she walked into the room and they found their way to the closet with a simple charm. As she took in her surroundings, she noticed her husband standing by the bed in nice clothing and looking like he was ready for something important. She raised an eyebrow at him as she took in his appearance.
He dressed as though he were going to an expensive dinner and he wore a smile on his face that suggested he had something planned. She was curious. "What's all this? Why are you dressed up?" She asked. Things between them lately had been a little rocky. Actually it'd been a while since they'd actually been...happy with each other. She had definetly noticed but didn't seem to mind. Her dislike for him had grown considerably over the years and she just didn't seem to enjoy his company as much as she used to. Yes, she loved him and they were comfortable together but they lacked that spark they'd once had. She hadn't felt that ignition since they were in school.
