"Oh I'm sure she's just worried for you," Daniel said. "Are you and your mom close?" He asked, somewhat feeling a little guilty about the whole convorsation. He should really call his parents, but what would he say? They never really got along since they learned he was a wizard. "Yea, after days and days of 'Professor, do we have to read' It's nice to talk to someone who actually enjoys a book or two," Daniel grinned. "And thanks, I'm glad i met you too." now that they were actually having a convorsation and not the awkwardness from the beginning, Daniel was truely enjoying Ariel's company.

Ariel took a sip of her butterbeer, nodding as she did so. "We're close, it's just that...I don't know, I know she wants me to be happy, so she's always bothering me about any new guys I'm dating or if I found a job so she can stop sending me enough to get by." Ariel responded.
It had just dawned on Ariel now that she was planning a party at her apartment, and that she should invite Daniel, even though she was fighting with the thought in her head. She didn't want any of her friends scaring him away. "Uhm, I'm having a party at my place, it's casual, just a couple of friends over to spend time together, if you'd be interested." She said. She hoped he said yes; she would like to spend more time with him.

Daniel smiled. It was very rare that he went anywhere that wasn't on the school grounds. Usually, teachers were free to go home on the weekends or go out, but Daniel was one of the few that lived at the school, and therefore, didn't get out much. "I'd like that," Daniel said, deciding he would really like to spend more time with Ariel. "I'd have to make sure I'm not working," since occasionally, teachers were patroling the halls. "But it sounds like a good time."

Ariel smiled at his response, perhaps becoming a bit too giddy. She took another sip of her drink in order to calm down and when she felt she was okay to talk, she turned to Daniel and nodded.
"Sounds good. I hope you're not. You'll get along with my friends fine, they're all good people." She said, and thought back to everything her and her friends have been through since they met. "A bit weird, but who isn't, really." She said with a laugh.
