Why would I want to spend my time pretending to like or even talk to people who wouldn't know the difference between monkshood or wolfs-bane, or wouldn't know how to kill devil's snare even if their life depended on it?" he asked quizzically bringing his knees to his chest and setting his crossed arms on them.

Severus rolled his eyes "Erasmus Craven, came to the school when Ian something or other got offed by a Vampire." he said setting his chin on his arms, "Why do you ask? it's not like he's here now."

"No," she said harshly, her eyes narrowing at his insolence. "I'm not a moron Severus Snape. I know the Minister is not here now." She was beginning to loose her temper with this young idiot. Lucius might have thought him bright, but she saw nothing of the sort when she looked at him.
She sighed heavily before continuing her point. "Do you think the Minister is a smart, or terribly interesting man? Or any of the ministry workers for that matter? Would you socialize with them for the sake of socializing?"

Severus glupped and then wilted and fell on his back. He looked up at the sky and said "Damn it. There goes my hopes and dreams." he said knowning full well he was still being dramatic.

"Hopes and dreams of what? Where you planning on running for office some day? No one would elect you to run Britain's wizarding community." The thought was simply absurd, and Bella shook her head slightly at him. She didn't want to admit it, but this kid wasn't half bad.

"Yes, I know I'm far to greasy to be an elected offical...or possibly not greasy enough!" he said hitting his worn shoes together. "Have you ever thought, or hoped a leader of a group, won't be so stupid? Erasmus Craven seemed down right creepy..." he said raising his head up a little.

Bellatrix adopted Severus previous position and laid back against the soft ground. She crossed her arms beneath her head to ensure her hair stayed as clean as possible. "Don't make me laugh Severus," she said as she giggled to his question.

Bella looked out over the lake at the scenery. The sun had set and a black blanket had covered the sky. It was cloudy, hardly any stars visible and a pale blur was all that proved the moon existed tonight. "Don't waste your time trying to figure out what's what and why. Just understand that it is." She sat up and shook her head so that her curls bounced around her face and back into formation."I should be going. As should you. It's late and I for one don't fancy a detention when I'm nearly free from this place." She stood and looked down on the boy, then extended her hand to assist him.

Severus took hold of her hand and stood up. "We might as well then head back, I'm sure the Common room is nice this time of eveing...Malfoy being snobbish, Cissa being charmingly entranced, of course the squabbles and the homework..." he said looking absolutely thrilled to be going from the quite night surroundings.
